Rockport Men's Cape Noble 2 Venetian Loafer

I have worn size 10 1/2 with D width for years but over the years have noticed that a couple of brands make them too narrow for my foot. I hoped that these Rockports would be a perfect fit because they are a wonderfully good looking shoe but alas when I tried them on as soon as they arrived I found them too narrow and had to ship them back immediately. A long time ago I remember a German shoe salesman who told me, "You have a "stark" foose" which meant very wide. In those days to move to an E width made them too loose. Well, I'm older now and one foot swells a little so I have decided to go for 10 1/2 E through a Hush Puppy manufacturer. I am hoping that they will be a perfect fit. I have worn the shoes I have now for several years and they were very comfortable but about to fall apart. If you can handle a narrow D width these may be the perfect shoes for you. They are well made and fashionable for a men's shoe.

These are our 3rd pair all different colors as the fit is always consistent even across colors. The stretch goring allows for s perfect fit as one foot of my husband's swells while the other doesn't. So he always had a perfect fit without tugging. To get them on. The soles of these are different than our last two pairs in terms of appearance. Performance of the soles remain superior to all others we've tried. These hold up beautifully too as one pair we have looks great two years later with at multiple times worn per week. It seems these fit wider than other brands with goring. But only base that on the few other brands we've tried with goring placed in the exact location yet they have been too tight for my spouse. The brown color has no distressing It is smooth. My only issue is that it looks a bit plastic like as the leather is just so smooth no marks. No high shine. Not hugely matte either. It's an odd finish to me. But still lovely. And for us the fit is the most important factor.

Measured my foot in inches and was told to go for 7.5 US size. The shoe fit like a glove, with a fairly thin sock. I usually wear thicker more cushioned sox. After maybe half an hour it just seemed a bit confining, so I'm going to up-size. I went to a local store here that sells Rockport and their foot measuring device (uno, the kind you've seen since the Civil War) said definitely a size 8. Yes, a loafer shouldn't flop around, but I would size up 1/2 size from the chart on Amazon and I'm going to size up 1 full size because I prefer a thick hiking type sock. It is easier to put in a tongue pad or footpad if the shoe is a little too big after wearing for a while.A very nice shoe, and I'll order a larger, but for the entire "package" the hassle (which is really unnecessary) brings the overall rating down to 3.

A simple loafer usable for casual wear and work. I bought it in black at first after having a good experience with a similar Rockport Venetian brand. These are good shoes if you want a reasonably priced and very comfortable shoe usable for professional settings and casual going out. I have worn this show now for months and it is still in good shape and still very comfortable. I ended up ordering another two pairs in dark brown and blue suede to have more variety. This isn't a "dressy" shoe but you could probably get away with wearing it with a suit if you happen to have to spend a long time in a suit walking (but it really isn't for that purpose). I have been pleased with the comfort and appearance and wear these almost daily.

The shoes are comfortable and easy to wear. 4 stars because I don't love the way the toe looks when I am wearing them but not so much that I would return them. They are a good compromise shoe, casual look but dressy enough you can wear as business casual, more support than other light weight (what I refer to as driving shoes) so extended walking in them doesn't cause pain or tiredness but they are not as supportive as a shoe with a more substantial sole. Regarding arch support, what is there is what I expected, in my opinion if you are looking for substantial arch support then you aren't looking for these type shoes or shouldn't expect it from them.

Great loafer. Goes well with slacks or jeans. Fit my large and unusual feet well. Initially I would have given this shoe a 4.5 or 5 star rating. Though, after regular use off and on for a few years the insole has started to have issues. Externally and structurally these loafers are still perfectly fine. Though I am now shopping for replacement insoles to get another few years out of them before replacing. For my money I would have hoped the insoles would have held up better than they have.

I always wear a men's 7.5 or 8. I read the reviews and ordered a wide and a medium in 7.5 even though I usually wear a medium. They were far too long. I ordered a 7 wide and they fit,but I needed to return them as the edge hit my ankle bone. I really did like the look and the quality of this shoe. I wish they hadn"t hit me so high on the ankle bone. This may not be a problem for you. The quality looked great.

This is a great shoe! I made the decision to purchase a half size smaller since the last pair I bought was a tad large, but that was a mistake. When you buy this shoe, get your regular size because although the half size smaller fits, it rubs the side of my feet a bit when I wear it for a long duration. Otherwise, this is an excellent shoe that looks good in both a professional or casual setting. I would recommend this shoe to my friends.
