This has been a great retractable leash for us. Of course it took a little bit to adjust from our old model to this one, but we like it a lot. The major difference between this leash and our older one is that the retractable “leash” is a corded design and not a webbing or leash. This doesn’t really impact how we use the leash, but thought I’d make note for others. The leash has held up well on various adventures with our 60lb furry beast and we would definitely buy this leash again.Updated to add: the leash lasted us almost three years. The spring seems to have broken while out on our recent walk and the leash won’t retract.

This heavy duty retractable leash works great with my 85lb blue nose pitbul.. I just bought my third one and I get about a year of use out of it.. I wish the cord was a little stronger because that's the reason for replacement..

I originally purchased the PURPLE version of this Leash. It didn't seem to work well. So, I decide to return it and purchase the RED version. The Latching Mechanism on ALL the colors (other than PURPLE) for this leash is the absolute pits! With Purple you can control the dog exceptionally well because a gentle press of the Pause button is all you need to do unless you want the dog on a short leash. If so, pay out the reqjuired length and latch it. All the other leashes have a completely different mechanism the only gives full Release. of full Latch. Believe me, it is Very difficult to use. Look at the blowup pictures of the latching mechanism on the Purple vs. all the rest. It will be very easy to see the difference.

It’s a decent leash, my dog is 13 lbs and I haven’t had many issues with the retractable lock working. I wouldn’t recommend for any dog over 20 lbs as I’ve had my little dog grind the lock a time or two but thankfully I was able to grab the chord in time. The detachable bag holder broke when I accidentally dropped it but it used to fall off quite easily before anyways so I tossed it. Overall it’s good for the price if you go through a lot of leashes but I wouldn’t recommend it for a large dog, especially if they pull as will most definitely not hold up.

I can sit on my porch steps and let my dog have his freedom while I control where he goes . Love it.

My husband likes it. He has no problem using it.

Love the handiness of it and how long it is

While I like this leash, I find that when I press down on the button to stop allowing it to run out, the lock function automatically engages. If my dog heels or comes back to me, I have significant slack that I have to unlock the leash and alllow it to reel in. This is unique for these leashes as all others I have owned default to allowing just the stop engage and if you want to lock it, it is an additional button push.Overall, a poor design from an ease of use standpoint. Very annoying...
