A Nice entry into the series
I'm a big Street Fighter fan, so when I found out that the Street Fighter IV Volume 1 was out, I didn't hesitate to pick it up. This was a nice way to introduce the new characters from Street Fighter IV. I wanted to know how C. Viper and Abel were involved with the rest of the Street Fighters and this book did just that. You even get to see how Akuma got involved. Overall, I was satisfied with what I read and I can't wait for Volume 2.

A nice entry into the sf comic book volumes.street fighter 4 focuses on the 4 new characters Abel, C.viper,Rufus and El fuete as well as the big bad boss Seth. To be honest, apart from Akuma origins, the story-line in street fighter books have never been it's strong point though it will mostly appeal to diehard street fighter fans but the art work is amazing! as with other SF books, it is big and bold but I had a problem with the fight encounter involving El fuete and Thunderhawk and the reason behind their brawl. It was down right stupid! maybe udon made this as a sort of comic relief but in all honesty,it was brainless. There is a great storline with other characters like crimson viper and Abel. The book is packed with lots of fights with displays of special moves easily recognisable from the game. For a change, It was nice to see Akuma duking it out with crime boss Seth and Abel facing off with seth as well.Dan and Sakura for all the wrong reasons also make a cameo appearance.Update (20/7/2014): As with the bonus, there are 5 very short stories attached. Story one centres on Juri's encounter with newcomer Decapri, the next story involves the early days/origin of Haggar (from Final Fight). The third story focuses on Guy's training with female fighter Maki while story 4 delves into an investigation on trench coat wearing fighter 'Q' from SF: Third strike (though I did find the artwork in story 4 rather peculiar). Story 5 which focuses on Alex acts as a prequel to the first story in Super street fighter vol 1: New generation.A great addition to the series especially if you are SF fan.I'm out!
