Martin Acoustic Guitar Strings (41Y18MA540PK3)

These are my new favorite strings. I had been using elixirs for a number of years until they priced themselves out of my business. These strings are brighter than the elixirs and for recording they articulate very well and when strumming they don't sound muddy. The have a smooth finish, not like a flat wound but a tighter winding that is easy on the fingers.

I always use Martin strings on my Martin guitars. Very happy with them.

The strings feel nice, have good tuning, and sound volume is nice. I feel they are a little high tones, where I would like a little fuller tone on the lower strings.

Amazing volume and tone. The slightly larger string 6 gives booming bass that you loose in extra light strings. They make a big difference on higher end guitars with better tone woods. No difference on low end guitars. I use these on all my Martin guitars!

My favorite acoustic strings. My primary guitars have been acoustic for close to thirty years now. Tried many strings. I like coated elixers a lot ($$), but for consistency, tone, and practicality, these are my favorites. I change strings more than most. New string day is always a good day with these.

Sounds great very easy to play

I've been using another brand of strings on my Custom X Series Martin Guitar for a while so I wanted to see what the Martin-branded strings sounded like in comparison. Decided to try the light gauge MA540 Phosphor Bronze since I play regularly at church and practice around the house quite a bit. Strings went on really well and, after tuning and stretching, they had a nice full sound to them. At first, I didn't think they were as bright as I wanted them to be but, after playing for a while, I was really impressed with how they held up and sounded. The day after I put them on, they stayed in tune fairly well ... I had to make some small adjustments but nothing major. Also, when I put my capo on, I didn't have to adjust the tuning too much either. The other brand of strings I use have a rewards program which is a nice incentive. If Martin instituted something similar, I would use these strings exclusively. As far as the sound, tone, and price, I have no complaints.

The vest strings for acoustic guitars. Simple and long lasting. Sometimes gets better with age before wearing. Love it
