Inexpensive Cockpit Recording
This splitter works well to attach a recorder in line with your aviation headset. I use this to record cockpit audio to a digital voice recorder.

good purchase but beware the price...
I bought this to be able to watch movies with my wife while the kids are sleeping. I used to use a similar device ( a T shaped one) 15 years ago and due to many problems like noise and inconsistent sound transmission, I hesitated buying this at first. However, it performed really great. the flexible short connecting cables are much superior than a T shape rigid design and unlike other reviewers I did not notice a big difference in sound volume. May be those who are used to listening really high volume music notice a difference but I did not.It keeps the stereo properties as well so both receivers get stereo. It performs adequately and the connection is reliable without noise or breaking sound. Any earbud type small earphones or more generally anything that can fit into the laptop speaker jack can work with this; but if you need it for more sophisticated devices there is a different version with slightly larger holes and that might be worth looking: Hosa YPP111 1/4 inch TS Male to Dual 1/4 inch TS Female Y Cable. Before concluding, I want to warn you about the price fluctuations... From january to may it jumped up and down between $1.99 and $7.48 (according to three camel software) I was lucky to have bought it around $2.5 which, I think, is the fair price for this. If you see it in high $6 range, either wait for sometime or go check your local hardware store. Places like microcenter usually stock these items for a lot cheaper...

Good quality
I bough this after I had to return another brand's (JOLGOO) product that did not work out for me. The other brand has woven cables, looks nice, and cost more. But the two female TRS ends are just too tight to be functional. This one is just right. The female TRS ends have reasonable tightness to prevent cables from disconnecting easily, yet not too tight like you would break it trying to pull cables apart. I am very happy with the purchase.

Value priced stereo signal splitter
The Hosa YPP118 is a 1/4" stereo splitter cable. If you're looking for a good price on a splitter for headphones, this is it. The male end is a standard quarter inch stereo plug. There is about three inches of wire separating the male from the two female ends. Those are standard quarter inch stereo, too. All you have to do is plug the male end into your receiver, then plug two headphones into the female ends.I noticed a slight volume reduction when splitting the signal. There was no added noise. The quality seems high. My headphone plugs fit in snugly, but not too tightly. The wire separating the male and female ends is flexible and covered by a good amount of pliable plastic. It doesn't feel like it's going to wear through or short out with common use.The only thing that seems low grade on them is the finish. There's some rough edges on the plastic, looks like they are from the mold.

Work perfectly! Noiseless!
Wire is not coax or anything fancy, but it's only a few inches long, so perfectly noiseless.

Good stereo audio splitter
This is a Y stereo audio adapter, letting you split a stereo signal to send it to 2 different outputs. I got it for the audio output from my keyboard so I can connect it to both a PC and headphones since the keyboard only has a single audio output; this is simpler than running the signal through a mixer or amplifier to be able to hear the sound output while recording. This item is working OK so far - you do need to be careful with some inputs to make sure the connection is good, as I found that a pair of headphones connected well in one side but came out with a mono sound using the other side, even though other phones worked OK in both inputs. Hosa is a reliable company that offers a warranty in case these do fail. The price on Amazon is a good deal compared to what retail music and electronics stores usually charge for these.

Well worth it!
This headphone splitter works well with any kind of headphones. I haven't been able to notice any degradation in the sound quality, at all. The cables are nicely made, thicker and do not seem to be made cheaply. This is being used with studio headphones running through an interface. I've been using this product for about a week, now. Most headphone splitters are cheaply made, break easily and are nothing like this.

Not as described.
This product is very good for what it is. It worked perfectly for me, however, it is not what I thought that I had ordered. They never stated in the details of the product that it was for 1/4 inch. I assumed that it was 3.5 mm, but I was wrong when I recieved my package. It is a great product, I just wish that I could switch it for the 3.5 mm.
