Positioned above the snake are the words "Dont tread on me". The flag was designed by and is named after American general and statesman Christopher Gadsden.Snake symbolism: The timber rattlesnake and eastern diamondback rattlesnake both populate the geographical areas of the original thirteen colonies. Their use as a symbol of the American colonies can be traced back to the publications of Benjamin Franklin. In 1751, he made the first reference to the rattlesnake in a satirical commentary published in his Pennsylvania Gazette. It had been the policy of Britain to send convicted criminals to America, so Franklin suggested that they thank the British by sending rattlesnakes to England.

When I saw this Jersey I just had to get it, hoping it was going to be good quality, when it arrived I opened the package and was super happy with how it looked. Trying it on the fit was great, not skin tight but almost, nicely put together, zipper works great, pockets in the back, I kept the tag that said World Jerseys so I could remember this brand, in case I want to get another Jersey I would trust the World Jersey brand to be good quality. Im 6'2 175lbs and the large was a good fit, xl would have been to big, and medium to tight. For sure when I wear this Jersey out, I will be buying another to replace it!

You know, this flag represents a good deal, and it's not the Tea Party. I love this shirt, I love this flag and what it represents, and I love the fact that the bright yellow field with the snake addresses the safety issue as well. Furthermore, the shirt seems to be well made. I'm only a few hundred miles into it, but it's holding up well, looks good, doesn't smell, and fits well. I'm 6'0" 170lbs, and I wouldn't go any smaller than the medium I got, but neither would I go bigger if aerodynamics factor into your thinking, too. I'd say buy it, but I still want to be the only one on the road wearing it. :)

I love this thing. I've tecieved tons of compliments, and none of the snide remarks others reviewers mentioned. The first person to see me in it literally asked where they could get one of their own. It's highly visible, so you stand out. I can't say it will keep you from getting hit, but it's worked for me so far.You are supposed to hand wash it. I'm not sure if that's standard for cycling jerseys, as this is the only one I own. The fit is great. I'm 5'9" and 165kbs and purchased the medium. It's nice and snug without being too right.Bottom line: I highly recommend.

I wanted the Gadsden flag jersey, because.This is a very warm jersey for summer riding and the seams are not exactly smooth inside but I can live with that. The zipper goes almost all the way down in the front which helps with the cooling issue somewhat. In cooler weather with my long sleeve Under Armour base it is much better.The fit is not real snug, size large, which is ideal for me. I am 6ft. 170 lb.Glad I bought it.

It's an alright jersey. It's baggier than most jerseys I have of the same size with extra material in the arm pits. Also, the material isn't as nice as some other jerseys I have. That being said, it's significantly less expensive than my other jerseys too so I consider it reasonable for the price. Perfect to throw on for basic training rides and the yellow pops for car vislibility

When I first was this bike jersey I knew that I needed it right away. I love the Gadsden flag and the message that it gives to our government.But I'm sure that you don't care about any of that junk and want to know how the jersey actually works. It works great! plenty long in the front and the back. Nice deep pockets to keep your cell phone, wallet, keys, or whatever else securely where you put them while you ride. It's nice have to 3/4 zipper in the front as well. Size seams right no.Buy this is you like to bike and like your freedom.

Very happy with the product. The jersey arrived very quickly (several days ahead of the original estimate at purchase). The yellow is very bright and eye catching. I was attracted to this product due to the historic significance of the Gadsden flag during the American Revolution as well as the Continental Navy (my father was in the Navy and this is another way to honor his legacy). Ride for health and, of course, liberty!
