What size???
I bought these gloves for winter use not diving. They feel pretty warm until you start to sweat, then just sweaty and cold. I wanted to get something big enough to wear a glove liner with but I really had no idea what size. I got a large which was pretty much a perfect fit for finger length. My hand is 8" from where your palm meets wrist to the tip of my middle finger. About 9" from tip of thumb to tip of pinky with hand spread. I wish I had got a size bigger so I could wear glove liners and not have this glove be so tight. I hope these measurements help anyone else wondering what size to get.

Avoid for Scuba Diving
I saw the reviews for this glove were positive and the price was good so I took a chance. The sizing can be a bit small but I found it stretched over time, so it wasn't a problem for me. Does it work? Yes, you can dive with them. But my hands never felt warm. The gloves did not do a good job of keeping water in place, there was still flushing and my hands got cold. After less than 30 dives the finger tips already developed holes. I would not buy this again, and I would not recommend it to others. It could be used above water, like for kayaking or something like that, but not for scuba.

The best winter gloves I've ever owned.
I personally feel that everyone should use neoprene as their winter work gloves. These 5mm gloves just replaced an older, generic pair of ice fishing gloves I found somewhere a few years ago.Quick note: As others have posted, get these a size large. I'm a typical 5'11" male with smaller hands. I try to get medium gloves whenever possible. So I bought the large here and am glad I did. They're a perfect fit and medium would've been way too small. These are stiffer, stronger and more durable than what they replaced.. I can and have worked outside all day with these and my hands are either too hot or warm enough to tolerate being outside. I'm in Ohio under 1' of snow and it's anywhere from the teens to 30deg F outside.I recently bought a new truck and am trying to keep the rust off of it, so I'm outside hosing the truck down, on a creeper, on my back, hosing the underside of the truck. Cold water is all over me and my hands are dry and warm.I have a small garden tractor with a plow on it and I plow the alley behind my house, my driveway, the neighbor's, etc. I'm on the tractor for two hours and my hands are always warm and dry.In other words, highly recommended!

Not warm at all!
As a disclaimer, I didnt purchase these gloves to use for diving. I bought them for my teenage children to wear during the winter while working at our farm. They needed very warm gloves, and these do not fit the bill. They are also very, very stiff and thick. I had read the reviews, and thought they would be what we needed, given that they are intended for use in cold water conditions. We have to get ice out of buckets, etc. Our weather so far has only been down to around 28-30 degrees, and already the gloves are not WARM, even when used daily with silk glove liners. Their fingers are very cold in just a matter of 10 minutes outside. (Last year we had quite a few days in the single digits, and many many days in the teens, so these gloves will be useless for us.) I am very disappointed in this product. Also since I have two pair, I know that it was not just a one-time problem. I have leather gloves with no lining that are warmer than these.....

Delighted!!
Just got mine & I'm delighted with the quality. You simply can't go wrong! Just remember even tho the stitching is close & tight they are NOT designed to be waterproof and they will not hold up to rough treatment like a leather glove would. The palm working layer is tough looking beaded rubber and should give an excellent grip. The wrist band is a good detail. They should be really warm for my planned cold water canoeing.I get a nice snug fit from the XL gloves; any tighter would be no good. I wear a 7 1/2 or 8 surgeon's glove and my hand measures 7 3/4 inches from the tip of the middle finger to the transverse crease at the wrist. Starting between the thumb and index finger my hand is 8 3/4 inches in circumference. I'm six foot tall & weigh 188 pounds.

Love these gloves
These are everything I thought they would be, they do run small so go up one size. They are easy to get on, fit very well so you can actually use your fingers and Kevlar to boot. My last gloves I owned were too tight in the wrists and difficult to get on, these have a larger entry hole, but not too big.I take them off on shore dives to keep me cool, as I am a very warm person, they float, which is very nice just in case I let go of them for a second.I have had them for 20 dives and they are holding up very well.Recommend these for anyone who is diving cold water.

Solid Surfing Glove
Great gloves. I surfed in 47 degree water & 30 degree air temp this morning and was warm the whole time. The gloves let only a little bit of water in, which was expected from paddling and pop ups. The straps are pretty well made and locked the wrists down nicely. I had great grip even with the 5mm thickness. I am 6', 200lbs and the XLs fit my larger hands really well. I would definitely recommend them.

Great for scuba diving in 59 degree water
I took the advice from feedback I read prior to buying these gloves. One size larger than my normal glove fit my hands perfectly. I bought these gloves to scuba dive the Bonne Terre mine, which are underground caverns at a constant 59 degree temperature. The gloves worked better than I initially imagined. We did five scuba dives over 2 days and these gloves worked really well. I recommend this product!
