OEM replacement for my 7 cu ft GE chest freezer. Fit perfectly and was not hard to change. Solved my problem of frequent defrosts.

Genuine GE part easy replacement
It costs a little more but it is a GE OM part. To me worth the extra money,,, fast delivery as always and works as it should.. Pay a little more for a piece of mind

Thermostat works great
in order in install turn power off. If freezer is still frozen due to bypassing a failed tstat thaw freezer. If freezer is thawed remove failed thermostat probe. then install new thermostat make sure angle is correct for dial. This worked great in a in Best Buy IDYLS chest freezer.

Easy to replace and works well.
Easy to replace and has worked great. Installed in December of 2024. Now 12 months later still and working fine. Used a separate inside thermometer to verify the temperature is correct.

Shipped so fast! Works great!
This was a perfect fix for our GE chest freezer. The package arrived so quickly! We were having to repeatedly restart the freezer by turning it up. Then it would thaw some and the thermostat seemed to be the problem. This is a genuine part and was easy to install.

All ways compare Amazon parts prices with other sites part pricing
Put this in an Amanda freezer. This was just like the one on the freezer that quit working. This was a lot cheaper ($20) versus the price they wanted at the parts repair sites ($80) for this freezer. Thanks Amazon for putting up a picture of the thermostat so I could compare with the old one. It works great!

My only regret was not giving this a shot sooner
I had a G.E. chest freezer sitting around in my garage for several weeks. In my ignorance, I thought the temperature probe was going to be a bear to get out without causing damage to the freezer itself. It turned out that the temperature probe pulls out cleanly and this replacement (genuine, by the way) was all I needed to breathe new life into the freezer so we could set aside an extra package of whatever food item each week while we had to shelter in place for COVID-19 season. I only regret not having done it sooner - it turned out to be such an easy fix and (even if it turned out to be a burned out compressor) a fairly inexpensive one at that.
