Bones Bearings Press Puller - Bones Bearing Tool - Bones Skate Tool

I live by the beach in Miami and use my longboard to get around almost everywhere, including to and from work as far as 6 miles each way. with all the puddles, sand and surprise florida downpours, i end up cleaning both mine and my girlfriends bearings quite often. I personally don't like using my trucks axles to pry out the bearings so I wanted something that I could use regularly to do this without damaging the bearings. This tool is amazing, its the size of a large keychain trinket, just a few inches long but made sturdy of all metal. The two balls on the end retract when you push the button at the top, allowing you to push it through the bearing, release the button and easily pull the bearing out, if you have spacers like me, you can use this tool just like your truck axels, insert it into the bearing, and use it as a lever to pry the bearing out. it fits so well into the center of the bearing that this causes no damage whatsoever. and it works just as well to push them back in.

Best $15 I have spent so far in my short derby career. It took me 10 minutes to switch out my bearings, and most of that was cleaning the gunk off of them. It was a pleasure to pull and press them in, and I didn't feel like I was damaging my wheels like I did when I used a screwdriver to remove them. It is super small and easy to carry. I would like to sing love songs about this bearing press/puller.

This thing is cool if you wanna pull yout bearings out super quick without damaging them then this tool is the one you want. Ive been skating awhile and have messed up several sets of bearing due to removing from old wheels. Tapping them out of the wheel or using your truck to get them out can damage the outter race which will no longer roll good. So if this problem is what your having i suggest this awesome tool. Easy to carry and small so fitting it in your pockect is not a problem. Thanks Bones awesome product.

Puller works as expected, but the handle is a little small and not ergonomically contoured well. The edges of the handle bite into my fingers if I have a jammed bearing in a wheel. The hole for a key ring was a little smaller than needed for flexible positioning in a pocket, and far enough from the edge to make installing a ring harder than it needed to be. Over time, the hole will wear wider and the ring will tilt more.Overall, this is a solid tool that works as intended to pull bearings from skates, but if using steel inside spacers, the bearing has to be rocked out slightly before the balls of the tool will grab it.

If you break this product, you must be REALLY pulling/pushing on it. This is a great product and it's really easy to use. Before I bought this I used a screwdriver and my thumbs to put in and push out my bearings. But with this, I can do it really easy. I don't even need to touch the bearings. This is great if you take out an put in bearings a lot. It doesn't damage them at all.

I used this to clean out my wheels of my outdoor skates. Turns out I have sealed ball bearings, but I still needed to remove them to clean my wheels. This bearing press puller is easy to use and made well.I recommend this product.

This product works well... If your bearings aren't in too tight (doesn't work well for bearings jammed up in smaller diameter skate wheels)HOWEVER the tool is unnecessary because you can just use the truck axel to pop the bearing out of each wheel.However, do note that it cannot work on bearings which are longer (which include the bearing spacer effectively) such as Biltin Bearings because there is no space or gap behind which the balls can grip.I only wish it was not as expensive...

I bought this tool out of sheer laziness, but also ti spare the bearings that I felt were still usable. Instead of forcing them out with a screwdriver, it was better for them to be removed by this too. I bet there is another tool in my toolbox that I could have used other than a screwdriver to pry the bearings out, but I wasn't in the mood to find it. I resorted to buying this tool, so that it would be easier. It does work great though. If you are a casual skater and want to change your own wheels and bearings, you should think about it. It really does a great job of getting those bearings out of those old wheels!
