Beautiful book & projects :)
As far as a book goes -- this is a beautiful book, I've had it about a year, and have enjoyed looking at the color pictures and fun projects in this book. I almost always buy more Noro yarn every time I look at it :)I recently began to knit the iPad cover, and am already stuck :) to be fair, it is rated as a difficult project, but on Ravelry -- many claim it is a super simple and easy project and a good way to learn entrelac . I did watch a video on this technique before beginning, and the directions seemed pretty clear for the base row-- but then the instructions became very general and required you to increase in two different places at once while keeping count of your rows. It would have been a lot more helpful to me if the author had given stitch counts for each row. And I know that this is knit in a rectangle -- but I would still like a schematic drawing with measurements :)But I do love the Noro yarn-- so will probably slowly work through this project because I really want this iPad cover :)I really do like some of the scarf patterns in this book and may try the long lace scarf. The other project that is intriguing to me is the dog sweater. :)Maybe I am too much of a beginning knitter to truly appreciate these projects, but I have found I am able to knit fairly complex projects and finish them nicely if the directions are detailed and there are schematics and charts as well as line by line instructions .But I do like the way this book focuses on small projects that use smaller amounts of Noro yarn. It makes it possible to knit small gifts of Noro for your loved ones that they will enjoy. Many folks who would enjoy a colorful Noro knit cap or mitts, would not necessarily want a whole Noro sweater :) I would-- but my daughter would consider it to be too crafty looking. I have knit the Kimono cardigan from another Noro book and it looks wonderful and I will wear it for many years, but my daughter would think it was too crafty to wear such a sweater :)I do think this is a valuable book in that it gives good ideas for smaller projects to knit in Noro. If the directions turn out to be too complicated, you can always use the same yarn and knit a simpler basic version from a more general pattern and it will still turn out looking wonderful because of the Noro yarn :)Best wishes,Mary Z Cox

Absolutely Splendid
I love Noro yarn and have been using it since it first came to the United States many years ago. I love its color changes and the varied thickness and thinness of the yarn. It is absolutely wonderful to knit with. This new book contains many wonderful projects that will put a smile on any knitter's face. The Tulip Scarf is short and lovely, knit with Silk Garden in brown/rose/blue.The Modular Neck Wrap is also short and lovely, knit with Silk Garden purple/gold/green with three buttons holding it together in the front. The slip-Stitch Cowl is beautiful, elongated and sophisticated. It utilized Kuryon in brown/red/gold.The Welted Cowl will keep you warm and looking beautiful at the same time. It calls for Iro in two separate colorways - brown/green/gray and blue/green/bronze.The Riverbed Rib Hat is knit with Iro in green/purple/teal/lilac colorway with a ribbed pattern. It doesn't look too difficult and I can't wait to knit it.The Intarsia Lace Scarf is one of those patterns that made me take in a deep breath. It is just that beautiful. It uses Silk Garden in royal/purple/fuchsia/lime colorway.I could go on and on about the beautiful patterns but I think you get the idea. This is a book to treasure. The patterns are all from different designers and there is a wide array of choices for the knitter. I love this book and intend to look at it again and again - and then take out my needles and begin knitting.

Loads of Noro-y Goodness
I previewed this book before I ordered by checking it out from my local library. This book is beautiful---loads of gorgeous photos. If you are a Noro fan, the projects are irresistable. Most of them use between three and five skeins of Kureyon or Silk Garden. I am a Noro junkie, and whenever I visit a new yarn shop, I usually buy a few skeins of Noro if they carry it, so these small projects are a perfect way to use these small amounts of yarn. I live in Iowa, so I will wear the mittens, hats, and neckwarmers included in the book, and they make fabulous gifts for family and friends.

Great book!
Just received this book and it is beautiful! There are possibly only 3 or 4 patterns out of the 30 that I would NOT want to make (with an unlimited yarn budget!). the pictures are stunning and, of course, Noro yarns are spectacularly beautiful. Most of the patterns seem to be fairly easy and could be done by beginning or intermediate knitters. The majority of patterns call for silk garden or kureyon. I immediately reordered the book as a gift for my sister.

Delightful companion to Knit Noro: Designs in Living Color
Hot off the press and wonderful. Lots of nice, easy to follow patterns featuring easy to find popular Noro yarns-Silk garden and Kureyon to name a few. The projects are portable and many require just a few skeins. I made the tulip scarf-nice way to learn "double knitting" to make the slot- also made the Intarsia Scarf in the featured colorway-made some adjustments to make the yarn change smoother- and want to star the Iro welted caplet- Worth every penny. Great Job!!

Beautiful patterns
This book is a pleasure to look at. Beautiful patterns on every page. If you have the means to buy 3 or 4 skeins for a scarf then this book is for you. I just don't think I can afford to use Noro yarns for these and will have to make substitutions for most.

Great knitting book
I love Noro yarn and wanted some patterns using the various types they sell. This book was all I expected and more. Wonderful accessory patterns for practical things to use all the time such as hats, scarfs, wraps and mittens. There is also a pattern for a dog jacket and pillow coverings. These are all little knits that work up quickly; great to take with you on your travels.

Nicest design for non-beginners
Beautiful photos, beautiful design, but somewhat hard pattern for beginners. I gave it to my girlfriend who was just beginning knitting and she had no clue where to start. The book rate the skill level required to tackle each project on a scale of 4, but most projects are rated moderate (3/4) to difficult (4/4). Only 2 projects are 2/4. None are rated as easy (1/4), which is why I gave 4 stars out of five, because my girlfriend couldn't do a project right away since there was none for beginners in this book. Otherwise, we loved the designs and the photos, awesome quality!

Ahhh!
A great showcase for Noro yarns: I love the yarns, the handmade touch & history of the company but am still shy of knitting a whole sweater. These are great accessories to lift your wardrobe out of the winter blahs.
