GREAT basic, all-purpose plant food for hydroponics

When the plant food that came with my hydroponic system ran out, I had a hard time deciding what kind to get. The FoxFarm products stood out to me, both because I'd seen them in my local HEB, and because they are derived from real ingredients. I know people will say synthetic fertilizers are the same, but I'm not sure. They are also potent enough they are easy to do, and maybe I'm just not as much a stickler for reading directions as I should be. The NPK on the Grow Big fertilizer looks just right for most plants you want to grow hydroponically, and it worked quite well when I added it following their directions. (2-3 t per gallon of water). I do need to get a conductivity or ppm meter to better gauge my water quality, especially as I am using tap water that contains minerals. But for now I'm doing OK>
