I have a lot of watches, including some expensive ones (Rolex Submariner and a GMT Master II). I am really impressed with this Hamilton. The Pros: Nice slim case, Sapphire crystal (normally found on watches costing way more), sturdy pin locking band clasp, protected crown - and here is the best one. This watch keeps time dead on. I set it to an atomic clock, and in a week it is still dead on. This is rare for a self-winding watch - even the Rolex looses a minute here or there. The Swiss-made movement is just impressive. Hamilton claims that during normal wear, this watch can store up to 80 hours of run time - so if you take it off to sleep, it should still be running in the morning. The day and date is a nice feature Cons: The hands need better luminescence, you can't read the time in darkness. The date window could be a little bigger. I wish it had a screw-down crown - the crown is protected by the case, but the water resistance is severely limited. I don't expect to dive with it, but I would like to be sure that if I am fishing, I can reach down into 2 feet of water and not have a leak. I know they claim it is good down to 165 feet, but when the seals start to get old - it could leak while washing the dishes. I just have more confidence with a screw-down crown. I still give this watch 5 stars because of the quality of workmanship and accuracy at this price range it is a great deal. It keeps a lot better time than my pretentious Rolex, so it stays in a drawer and I wear the Hamilton!

I recommend this watch. The style, size, and visual appeal are perfect for a daily wear option. The metal band is comfortable and easy to adjust. The timekeeping is spot on and with proper attention (winding) it will keep great time. A must for any watch enthusiast.

Long long ago, I had a mechanical watch. We all did! That was all that was available apart from a sun dial or hour glass! My watch was loud, not at all waterproof and didn't keep time very well. I replaced it as soon as I could with a Timex quartz watch as soon as they were invented. It kept time well but not for a long time. After that I had several Seikos. About 15 years ago a friend helped pick a clean simple Hamilton Khaki Quartz watch. I wore it with pride and a lot of comments since then. When it came time to replace it, I really really wanted a watch with the DAY of the week. Who cares about the date? We don't write cheques anymore and no one ever asks you for the date. Knowing the day of the week is far more important. So I began my search. There are several models available. I also wanted an analogue face so you can tell the time quickly at a glance rather than having to recognize the numbers etc as on a digital watch. So I settled on Hamilton. There was a choice of models: Quartz or mechanical. This time I chose mechanical partly out of nostalgia but also mechanical watches are truly mechanical marvels in this day and age. 25 jewel Swiss movement! (It turns out the oldest watch company in USA was bought in the 1974 by the same company who owns Swatch; they moved to Basel in 2003) Furthermore, the back is transparent, a cute feature that allows you to see the winder weight as well as the tiny oscillating wheel. Really neat! Conclusion: The watch is awesome! No regrets! Highly recommended!

The value is excellent, considering it is a Swiss watch, and the quality is excellent. I own a few Swiss watches, and this is my everyday watch. If you want something big and heavy that you can use as a weapon, get a Victorinox (Swiss Army guys), this one is lite, comfortable, and classy. Check it, and be sure to look at the back of the watch. It has two crystals with one on the back so you can see inside. She runs a little fast but adjustable. Highly recommend it; it is worth a look and your consideration.

I'm ecstatic about this purchase. At first I was a little leery about buying the watch on Amazon because I've never made a big purchase here before, but I have absolutely no complaints. In shopping around, the price offered on Amazon was as low as you can find it, and with Prime shipping and a two-year warranty offered by Amazon, it's a no-brainer. The watch itself is exceptional. The quality and craftsmanship is unsurpassed. After getting it sized for my wrist, it looks great and compliments everything else I wear, as it's the kind of watch that looks great dressed up or down. The timing and mechanics so far have been precise and smooth. The best thing about the watch is that it looks much more expensive than it is, especially when you consider prices of watches like Rolex, Omega, or Breitling. Financially, it represents great value for money. Overall, there's nothing I can say bad about the watch or the purchase on Amazon...

Jomashop saved me 33% of AD prices. Received promptly. Running eight seconds fast a day at first, had it de-magnetized at a local shop (for free) and is now within one second a day. The bezel is beautiful, but easy to damage, but I plan on having it brushed or sand blasted to make it a little more rugged. The bracelet uses a smaller than average screw size so I was unable to remove the links myself so I have no review for that, but I did purchase an after-market leather band and it has been wonderful. I do not think you will find a well made swiss movement automatic watch with the day complication and exhibition case back at this price. It makes me happy every time I look at it. While I have retired some watches since moving up to swiss, this is one that I will be keeping for a long time.

Ho ricevuto il mio Hamilton Khaki Field King e sono rimasto a bocca aperta. Prima di tutto, devo lodare l'onesta del venditore: il prodotto originale che ho ordinato aveva un problema di funzionamento, ma il venditore con celerità ha fatto il possibile per organizzare il ritiro e per sostituire l'orologio con uno nuovo e funzionante, mantenendo sempre un ottima comunicazione. Una prova di affidabilità e professionalità che gli fa onore. Ora, per il prodotto stesso: l'Hamilton Khaki King Field è un vero e proprio gioiellino. L'attenzione per i dettagli è evidente, dalla robusta cassa al meraviglioso quadrante che ricorda un passato militare, tutto grida qualità e robustezza. Ma il vero piacere arriva dal movimento , abbastanza preciso e affidabile (il mio ha uno scarto giornaliero di +-2 secondi), e dal design pulito e semplice, che è al tempo stesso elegante e funzionale. L'orologio si adatta a ogni situazione, dal lavoro all'outdoor, garantendo sempre un tocco di classe che si apprezza. Mi sento quindi di consigliare senza riserve questo Hamilton Khaki King Field, sia per la qualità del prodotto in sé sia per la serietà e l'onesta del venditore. Non troverete niente di meglio per il prezzo ( io l'ho pagato circa 570€ ).

Die Uhr kam in einem schönen Karton der in einer Holzoptik versehen war. Erstmal mussten alle Folien entfernt werden, um die Uhr genauer betrachten zu können. Das Edelstahl ist zum Großteil matt nur der Rand um das Ziffernblatt wurde poliert. Das verleiht der Uhr bessere Präsenz und es fühlt sich eher so an, dass es sich um eine 42mm als um eine 40mm Uhr handelt. Der wunderschön verzierte Rotor ist durch das Saphirglas, welches vorne und hinten verbaut wurde, gut sichtbar. Das Werk (2936-2) selbst ist jetzt nicht spektakulär, aber wie schon erwähnt, macht es Spaß den schönen Rotor zu betrachten. Beeindruckend ist die 80 Stunden Gangreserve. So kann ich bequem eine andere Uhr für 2 -3 Tage anziehen ohne die Hamilton neu einstellen zu müssen. Wenn meine Uhr liegt gewinnt sie 6-7 Sekunden am Tag. Wenn ich die Uhr aber trage, gewinnt sie lediglich 2-3 Sekunden. Ein wirklich erstaunlicher Wert. Der Lume bei der Uhr ist mittelmäßig...es hält zwar die Nacht kann aber nicht mit einer Seiko aushalten. Die Qualität, das Werk und die Verbreitung ist aber deutlich hochwertiger als bei einer Seiko. Meiner Meinung nach eine tolle Einsteigeruhr in die Welt der Schweizer. Hier kann man nichts falsch machen! Jeden Cent wert.
