Kahlil Gibran's works explore self-discovery, freedom, and interconnectedness, illuminating the path to inner peace and fulfillment through poetic prose. Review: Came on time - The book was Amazing I loved the cover Review: Perfect condition - Since others have complained about this book I thought I'd give my account of how it arrived for me. It came this morning and there was no bent bits on the outside and I discovered that the pages were stuck together by the gold on the edges not by water damage, so to make reading easier in future I went through every page and separated them without any problems. The book was in a plastic seal so if it had touched water it wouldn't have been damaged and I think that may be why the pages got stuck together because the plastic was tight around the book. Anyway the book looks delightful a beauty to put in my bookcase and I can't wait to start reading.

Kahlil Gibran wrote a book called 'The Prophet' - I hope it is in this collection.
I have no idea IF 'this product' WILL meet with, or exceed my expections, or even fail to meet with my expectations, since I have not read any of it - YET. I give it 3 stars for its' construction & quality of its external appearance, with an intention of updating my review, once I have read at least a 3rd to 2x 3rds of it. Since I have a love of literature especially Poetry & Philosophy (no matter the country or author it originates from) I am about to START reading it. I HAVE (in the early 1980's, 'in my late teens'), read a different book by the same author. The Author - Kahlil Gibran - was named as the Author of a book called 'The Prophet'. The book was a tiny little book with not much text in it, that belonged to my Mother - now deceased for just over 3 years - but I found it extremely interesting to read in my late teens, & was to learn that it was apparently already a VERY 'famous, & well read - as in lots of people read it - book' of poetic verses, the Author apparently being already deceased before the 1980's - unless I am mistaken? I enjoyed THAT book VERY much despite still being 'a believer' in Christianity (though 'naturally' more Methodist than any other 'sect' of Christianity - without any specific 'encouragement' to 'follow' the 'Methodist' teachings - except that I was Christened in a Methodist Chapel, & I had always preferred the simpler plainer look to the buildings, rather than the ridiculous expenses 'wasted' - only my opinion - on the enormous 'vanity projects' that such as Abbeys & Cathedrals came to be - untill Henry 8th destroyed nearly all of them. But at the same time I was still believing in the rights of EVERYBODY (whoever, from wherever, going to wherever) to believe in & 'follow' ANY 'God(s) or Godess(es), they happened to choose, so long that 'following', did or does not include persecuting those people who are 'different' because they either 'follow' a different 'deity' or follow NONE at all. 43 years later, my opinion is exactly the same about 'equality' of people to 'believe', what ever they want since some 'beliefs' seem to feel as natural to me as 'breathing' - but 'other beliefs', seem to be like 'brainwashing' to me. But currently, I am no longer a follower of ANY 'religion' (& a much UNhappier person because if it), though at the same time 'more satisfied' that my opinions are more likely to be accurate (even if I am wrong, I am always going to be looking for 'what appears to sound more like the truth' - even though I still read SOME religious books, out of interest & to better understand where 'those different peoples writings come from' - psychologically, emotionally, culturally, educationally, economically, politically, & historically, as well as geographically. As far as 'religious truth' is concerned that depends on the perspective of the believer & their personal experiences, so for ME, NOBODY has 'a handle on the truth' - NOBODY really KNOWS what is or is NOT true about 'religion' or 'God' or whatever you choose to call it. Being an 'Agnostic' (which is likely to be the best description of me regarding 'religion') is just me being a person who DOES NOT 'know what the truth is' - plus I don't anybody else REALLY 'knows' either. Far too many people say 'THEY KNOW'. But they don't. They just 'think they know', &/or want 'others' to believe THEY KNOW, so those 'others' will 'follow' them, & from that 'the leaders who (claim to) know' will make a huge amount of money, have enormous power, too much influence & authority - & then maybe start a war over it - to make even more money; get more power; have more influence, status & adulation/worship as if THEY have now become the God(s) or Godess(es) they previously followed & told lies about, when they said or claimed to 'believe'. ALL THAT for their own benefit - no-one elses benefit - just theirs, & their 'heirs' - that is how Kingdoms came to 'be', & how Nations came to 'be' (& be 'ruled' by those Kings, who had come to 'be'). Because too many people prefer to be 'sheep' who follow 'the shepherd' - but the shepherd is really the wolf in strange clothes or possibly even 'the devil'! But for 'The Devil' to exist, then God must exist too. If God does NOT, nor does or can 'The Devil'. In any case 'GOD' & 'The Devil' are one & the same - both from the same 'place', or 'two sides of the same coin'. I would rather be able to 'eat bread, meat, fruit & veg, drink milk & water' - than think about the good & evil of money! Despite all the above being HERE, NONE of it is irrelevant, since the thoughts of 'man as a species' are the creators of literature, philosophies & religions, & alwsys will be. So even if 'Religion' is NOT 'your thing', literature & philosophy CAN help you understand the WHEN, WHERE, WHY & HOW of 'religion', & many other things too.

The design on the cover is quite intricate which makes it very attractive. The quality of page is good. Print is clear. Khalil Gibran is a well recognised author and a poet. He is most famous for his work THE PROPHET which was published in 1923. This book has a collection of his 12 famous works including The prophet, The wander, Sand and Foam etc. Great deal at such a low price.

Since this book arrived, and I ordered it prime, so it came pretty quickly I have not been able to put it down. For the first time I have all of this brilliant writers words put together in one book. Its a hefty tome of breathtaking words of love, life, and philosophy. This seller is great. Product has exceeded my expectations, carefully packaged, arrived on time, great value, great quality and breathtakingly impressive to look at hold in your hands. I can tell this book will hold up over time and be a family heirloom first passed onto my daughter and so on to read and enjoy. However, I failed to truly understand the brilliance of this writer’s words. You must be at a certain point of consciousness within yourself. The depth goes beyond any depth I have ever read and truly taken in before. Thank you so much. Touché to the seller.
