PolderStandard Ironing Board Cover, Stain Resistant, Water Repellent, 54 x 15-17 Inch, 100% Cotton Cover with 4mm Pad and Bungee Cord Binding, Metallic Silver

This cover and pad (all in one) is only OK. The fabric is pretty thin, and so is the padding. The workmanship is adequate. I was spoiled with the previous heavy-duty cover and separate pad by a different manufacturer, and which I completely wore-out over a period of over a decade. I iron my own dress shirts, rather than send them to the cleaners to be pressed into weird creases and crushed buttons. I will use this product until it fails, which will likely be sooner than later. Might as well get my twenty dollars worth out of it. In the meantime, when I removed the old, tattered-and beloved heavy-duty cover, I noticed it had a manufacturer's tag on it. I searched the manufacturer's name on Amazon and I discovered that same cover and pad can be hand on Amazon for fifty percent more than what I paid for the current product. I wish I had name-searched the other product before I hastily ordered the current product. I'm not sure Amazon allows posting names of competing products in reviews, so you'll have to search my other reviews to get the name. I ordered the pad and cover from the other manufacturer today so I will have what I really want when the current product hits the end of its likely-short lifespan. When the other cover and pad arrive, I will post a review to confirm that what arrives really is the good stuff.

I had such high hopes for this cover…it went on and fit like a glove and it looked amazing…ironing on it was so easy and I was so glad I bought it…until a couple days later…I do not iron a lot but I do wear dark color clothing like denim and black knits…the color from my clothing transferred on to the cover and it will not come off. This means that I can't iron white clothes on it or the color might transfer to them. Thankfully I also bought a metallic type cover from this same company…we haven't used it yet…and I am angry that I only got a few days worth of use out of this one. My old ironing board covers were light just like this one…I got them at Bed Bath and Beyond. They worked fine but it was a pain to put them on and the elastic on this seemed a no brainer. At least when I used their covers I just used a sticky tape roller and was able to remove any residue…it doesn't work on this cover…the color still rubs off. I do not want to just use an ironing board cover for light clothes and another for dark clothes…so this will not work for me or for anyone else who irons dark as well as light clothing. I am giving it three stars because it is a good quality and it fits nicely. Maybe I gave it one star too many...

There is not a whole lot to say about it... It fit's well, has plenty of padding, and was reasonably priced. It's definitely nicer than the original one that came with our ironing board. I would note that you might see a few wrinkles along the edges for a while, but the eventually work there way out and do not impact the usefulness of it. The amount of padding does the job well and is more than was on our prior one, but I don't know if I'd call it "a lot" of padding. Also, I it's a bit more green in color that it appeared in the pictures (not really a big deal, but I thought I'd note it). Ultimately, I'm happy with it and would buy it again.

This fits my 54"x15" ironing board perfectly. It took a little wrangling to get it on (similar to putting on a mattress pad), but it has not budged, and the fabric is nice and tight. There is no cord, but instead it uses an elastic band, which I prefer as there is no cord to get caught up in your fabric as you iron. The cover itself is a very heavy, natural-colored canvas, and the pad feels like thick quilt batting. It is probably 4x thicker than the pad that originally came with my ironing board. I iron at least twice/week and was considering this vs. the heavy use pad. The moderate use option is a great choice for those who iron often but not every day.

Have had this for over a year now. Still holding up great, and looks like I'll get about three years out of this. Much cheaper to just get this cover, instead of replacing the ironing board.UPDATE - I have had this cover for 2 1/2 years now. I iron everyday Monday through Friday, a set of clothes for four people. So doing the math, I calculate that I have ironed 2,500 articles of clothing with this cover. It still looks and works great. I'm sure I'll get a few more years out of this.This is much cheaper to get this cover than to discard your entire ironing board for a new one. In some ways, I even think this cover is better than the original cover that came with my Polder when I bought it new.

I have a 15 year-old ironing board, which with average use is beginning to show its age. I definitely needed a new ironing board pad and cover, as the old one was getting quite ragged. This Polder ironing pad and cover is genius! While putting it on the board I could tell it was well constructed and of high quality. It provides an excellent base for all your ironing needs. It is sturdy enough to keep your fabrics flat under the pressure of the iron, yet as the same time soft and pliable enough to keep your fabrics free of damage. It even looks great! It has brought my old ironing board back to life, and even give me the incentive to break it out more frequently (for a while at least). Highly recommended!

I purchased this cover because it fit my wider than average ironing board. I purchased a supplemental felt pad at the same time. The cover came promptly, The supplemental pad never came. I received (and returned) a lace umbrella instead.Don't ask me why. Any way, with the supplemental pad I would have given this cover higher marks; without it is just very average. Yes it has a built in pad but it is so thin the pattern of the ironing board is coming through to my clothes. It is still outwardly in good condition after almost a year but with the thinness, I am on the search for a new cover with a thicker pad for my wider than average board.

A good replacement cover. Works well.Could have been about an inch wider for better fit.

I just wish that it was scorch proof. Otherwise it fits my board beautifully.

Good quality item. A bit tight for my large ironing board but managed to get it on and definitely worth the money.
