Purple Dendrobium Orchids (10 stems Orchid with Rhinestone Mesh Ribbon Vase)

I ordered these orchids for mom for Mother's Day on MAY 3... and paid to expedite just to make sure she received by Mother's Day. This is the worst experience with an Amazon Seller I have ever experienced, and I shop Amazon at leat once a week.ON 5/10, flowers hadn't been received, and appeared to have shipped only that day, so I sent this email to the seller: "I am really unhappy with your fulfillment on this. I ordered on May 3, with twelve bucks for expedited shipping. You listed it as shipped on 5/7, but USPS doesn't have the departure scan until 5/7. I really don't like paying 12 bucks for expedited shipping to have someone not ship for four days, then lie and say its shipped on the fourth day, but not actually get the package off until SEVEN DAYS AFTER THE ORDER IS PLACED.It is now 5/10, and the package is apparently in Tuscon. If this package does not deliver by Mother's Day, I will expect a refund, AND you will get a one star review, for being both slow and shady."On the same day, I received the following polite response:"Hi. We normally ship the flowers the same day that they are ordered but due to the busiest time of the year for us (Mother's Day), we were not able to do so.We're so sorry that the flowers still have not arrived and if they do not arrive by tomorrow, May 11th, we will be happy to issue you a refund.Best Regards,Just Orchids"The 11th came and went with no flower delivery. NO FLOWERS DELIVERED YET TODAY, AND MY TRACKING STILL SHOWS THEM IN TUCSON!!!! It is absolutely unacceptable for a seller to keep taking orders once they receive more than they can possibly fulfill. Once they have as many orders as they can even ship, then they need to say "SOLD OUT"..They could have made good that day by reshipping flowers via overnight delivery, but they didn't.The fact that they just kept selling is greedy, and the fact that they lied and said it was out to ship when it wasn't (which stops the buyer from being able to cancel the order and buy elsewhere) is dishonest, dirty online business practice. Their polite note doesn't change any of this.I will be asking for a refund, and once the flowers arrive at my mom's I will update this review and let you know if they honored their promise to refund, I will also report on what condition the flowers were in once they finally made it, and any indication from the shippng box of when it actually shipped, and whether any expedited shipping method was even used. It is inconceivable that if the package was actually shipped expedited on 5/7, that it would not be delivered by 5/13.

This is one of the most confusing products I've ever bought on Amazon and I've bought a LOT. The thing that makes buying these flowers so confusing is that Amazon has a bunch of sellers that sell this same product, but obviously flowers and service are all different. So you really have to figure out whom you want to order from. To complicate it all, each seller has different shipping fees and wildly varying prices for these flowers.SO... this review is for the bunch that I purchased from "Orchidea" (if they don't show up on the product listing, you'll see a hyper link that says something like "10 new from $10.99) and I selected the standard shipping (not next day). I got the order in before 2 pm EST (they are in NJ) and the flowers were delivered to a hospital here in California by noon the next day!! And the flowers look great - just as pictured, with a simple glass vase (no elephants). I have tried Pro Flowers (disaster, lots of SPAM, mediocre product) and the usual online florists...by far this was the best from a price and service standpoint.I hope this helps... I can't speak about the other sellers. I think Amazon should split these out by seller or find a different way to list them. I also think the sellers should somehow simplify their shipping rates for flowers (e.g. if it's already next day, don't include a next day option for $30 extra.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!Hope this helps.

I was very hesitant to order fresh flowers from Amazon, but was so pleasantly surprised when they arrived. They arrived a few days before I expected them and were absolutely beautiful and in such great condition. I ordered them for my mother for Mother's Day and she loved them. My only complaint/suggestion is that there is a more specific date or time frame given as to when the flowers will be delivered. I was given a very broad window (about 6 days), and ended up receiving them on a Thursday, 2 days after I ordered them. Normally this is a good thing, but with fresh flowers, I had to leave them sitting in my house until Sunday when I was able to give them to my mother. They were still lovely, but didn't look as good as when they first arrived. I still plan on using this service again.

Without a doubt, the most beautiful purple orchids available, and worth every penny (and then some!) I had these sent to my mother's home. I did have to take each orchid from it's little glass tube of water (no big deal) then cut the stem ends off, as per directions. Then I arranged them in the provided vase and added tepid water. I brought them to my mother's bedside and she was so thrilled! Two weeks to the day after the orchids arrived, my mother passed away, still smiling at the orchids. I packed the orchid stems in wet paper towels, put them back in their vase, and put them between the seats of the U-Haul for the 800 mile drive home. When we got home, I simply removed the paper towels, cut just a bit off the stalks, and again put them in fresh tepid water. It has been almost a month now since these orchids were delivered to my mother's home, and now they are as fresh and beautiful as ever in my home. Highly recommended.

I ordered these for my wife while sitting in a hotel off the beaten tract in Africa (their wifi was unexpectedly working). The order was delivered on time to my wife in the States. But that's just the beginning. When I got home about 10 days later, there sat these beautiful flowers. And they have stayed beautiful and kept blooming for more than 3 weeks!! As delivered (each stem in its own water container) there were open blooms on the lower end and buds on the upper end of each stem. As time has passed, the buds have slowly opened so there are more flowers open now than when they were delivered. Sure, a few blooms have dropped off, but overall this has turned out to be a gift that keeps giving and it doesn't hurt that my wife's favorite color is purple. I'm a hero and the flowers look they will be good for another week yet! Unbelievable!!!
