Very effective and nice. Before I had the traditional screw ones but this is convenient as you just need 1 hand to dispense which is useful when stirring the food. Reliable so far and light that they light up on dispensing - appeals to my childish side as well as actually quite useful to see how much is being dispensed! They look pretty good though I wished I got the slightly pricier black ones but that just personal aesthetic preference as I obviously bought them initially deciding that stainless steel was fine!

Nice quality at a good price. Fiddly to set up but easy to use. Bought one set for self and two sets for gifts. After a small amount of use, our set stopped working. Returned for prompt refund. Will re-order as the product is good. Hopefully just a minor quality issue.

Batteries tend to shake when using grinder. The plastic tube holding them in is a bit too loose. It stopped working on salt grinder, pepper one is ok. I have to give it a little shake to work but only get one grind and have to shake again. It is guaranteed for 2 years so where do I send it to get replacement.

Both motors were working (albeit a little slow) but the lower vessel that holds the salt jammed solid after I'd used them only a few times spanning approximately 18 months. I had previously understood that they had a ten-year warranty but do not recall being prompted to 'register' when I made the purchase. Anyhow, having contacted Salter, I felt I was initially being given the third degree. What products were I putting in them, where did I store them, etc., before ultimately telling me I hadn't registered with them. In essence, they tapped me for feedback - back and forth - before rejecting me out of hand, despite my being helpful, providing them with precise details as well as date of purchase and order number etc. Aside from malfunction, I found the set a tad heavy with four AA batteries in each. And, on balance, they worked out at more than £1 per grind of salt - excluding the batteries - so I cannot recommend them, though it pains me to leave a 1-star review for anything. Footnote. I noticed that one of the contacts was rusty (see photo) but both were stored exactly in the same place - in a kitchen cupboard that housed only tins and dry goods, so would argue that this was flawed at the point of manufacture.

At first I was pleased with the item and then I realised it needed 4 battery’s in one mill, so that’s 8 battery’s to bring a little salt and pepper. The actual holder for the salt and pepper isn’t that big and I was a little disappointed in that for the price. However function wise - it’s great, press the button at the top, it grinds well and fine - no twisting and no leaking and mess due to the little caps at the bottom. Very easy to use and they look great.

Nice looking salt works fine,pepper could be a lot better,so abit disappointed for the price.

These are so handy especially now as I have arthritic thumbs. Thanks
