Nice book and it is going to be a reference for me while making decisions
What more can you expect from a book? You should have some knowledge of flink before jumping to read this one. Loved the way the stream processing is explained along with samples.

Examples need to be improved.
The author tries to introduce Flink from top-down: high level picture in the first few chapters and then more details in the later chapters. However, the problem here is that, at the first few chapters, every time it needs more details in explaining an example/concept, they are saying that mode details will be explained in the later chapters. This frustrates me because I have to keep my questions till a few hundreds pages later. I just stopped reading at chapter 3 because I got more questions than what I learnt. Sometimes the example they came up with is just a rephrase of the concept or too shallow. I was expecting some more concrete/realistic examples like the ones in <Designing data-intensive applications>. There are also a lot of unnecessary inverted sentences. My English is not that good so I would prefer plain English grammers.

Easy to follow and have detailed insights
This book is easy to follow and has the detailed insight of flunk. The only missing part is the sql API part, which maybe useful for people who are in spark areas.

Please complete your Java example
I am not sure how many of us is using scala but Java is playing an important role in Flink. It's hard to following without Java example

Not good
Most of the contents are copied from the flink documents. The author presented the core idea over complicated. Not recommended.

Incomplete Java Examples
The book is ok, but the authors didn't care to complete the Java examples they promised.
