Yes, I'm probably losing weight...I had to buy a smaller size in jeans...but that's no longer what I am basing my acheivements on. I am now seriously considering joining her online training after a few more times of doing the 4-week session outlined here in the book.

Wonderful wisdom and program!
I've followed Svava for a while now on Instagram and have enjoyed her mini-workouts and words of wisdom. Her book is a joy...full of great exercises, healthful recipes and motivation! The exercises require little to no equipment and can be done pretty much anywhere. I like that they are simple yet effective. The recipes are the same...simple and nutritious and easy to prepare. This is a book I will be turning to often!

Absolutely brilliant!
This book is filled with goodness! Svava is a wonderful trainer! I have been following her on Instagram, she is genuine and kind, but also realistic. Through the book she introduces us with her Viking method, guides to correct exercises, right mindset and wonderful recipes! Thank you, Svava, for such a special book!

Viking Power! Viking Mentality! Viking Skills!
This book, when you apply the principles and lessons taught in it can be life changing. Very motivational, easy to read, easy to follow. It makes no excuses and isn’t for those that aren’t self disciplined or self motivated to be the change they want to see in their lives. I’m so happy to have bought this book. Wish she would write more. This isn’t a quick fix book or a hand holding book, it’s self help at its finest. You have to “self” help. Gives you the foundation, the motivation, the instructions...now get out and DO IT!!! Just DO IT!!! Great book. I don’t regret it.

Too many recipes?
The material about “The Viking Method” itself was good. I was just disappointed that the majority of the book is recipes. I would have liked more info in the section “Think like a Viking”. Especially since the author mentions in the introduction, that “mentality” is the most important part of a healthy lifestyle…..yet the Chapter on it is only about 4 pages long.

As a descendant of Vikings, I believe this book can transform lives.
As a Nordic woman (Norway/Sweden/Denmark) whose father/uncles would tell our family stories of our “Viking ancestors”, I really wondered if they were embellishing the truth of our own Viking heritage. Then I discovered that literally within my Nordic and some Slavic DNA, I’m 66% Viking. The reason I'm sharing this is because the minute I began to read “The Viking Method” I felt a movement in my heart and spirit resonating with these teachings that Svava is sharing in this incredible book. I have felt lately that I am on the path of other people/the world and am left feeling lost. But I believe these methods of developing inner strength along with the excellent nutrition and training regimen (whether you are Nordic, Viking or not) can transform your life! 🙏

I have followed Svava & The Viking Method for 3 years and have found her to be THE most consistent, honest, results driven and client focused person in the fitness and mindset industry. She is totally engaged in you becoming strong in mind, self belief, as well as taking control and responsibility for your body as the amazing powerhouse that it is. Her book is full of amazing recipes that are tasty and easy to prepare, it is so informative around training helping you understand the why behind the how.....the exercises are very well explained and it is very easy to follow (the presentation is gorgeous too) .....highly recommended!

Svava Sigbertsdottir ist gebürtige Isländerin und eine in London beheimatete Trainerin, die ihre ganz eigene Fitness-Methode entwickelt hat. Diese hat es in sich!!! Ziel des Trainings ist es, sich in kurzer Zeit mit einer Reihe von Bodyweight-Exercises richtig auszupowern, man ist hinterher wirklich kaputt, aber glücklich. Das Tolle an dem Training ist, dass man es wirklich überall durchführen kann und es aufgrund seiner Kürze (bei sehr hoher Intensität) sehr gut in den Alltag integrieren lässt. UND ES WIRKT!!! Man wird sehr schnell - innerhalb von einem Monat- viel stärker und athletischer. Hinzu kommt, dass die Übungen nicht nur sehr viele Muskeln auf einmal beanspruchen, sondern auch so kreativ sind, dass es einem nie langweilig wird. Dafür muss man aber natürlich auch dran bleiben!!! Und deswegen gehört nicht nur der Sport zu dieser Methode, sondern auch die Ernährung. Das Buch enthält neben vielen Infos zu Makro- und Mikronährstoffen einfach nachzukochende Rezepte und Ernährungspläne. Dritte Säule der Methode ist das Mind Set. Eine Waage oder Vorher-Nachher-Bilder kommen hier nicht vor. Der Erfolg soll sich vielmehr an der Steigerung der eigenen Leistungsfähigkeit messen, was einen ehrlich gesagt auch viel mehr anspornt als die Aussicht auf eine Bikinifigur. Man wird hierdurch insgesamt selbstbewusster, disziplinierter und fokussierter. Wer sich etwas Gutes tun will und dabei keine Angst vor der eigenen Power hat, sondern nur noch einen kleinen Schubs braucht und dabei wirklich richtig richtit richtig fit und athletisch werden will, sei dieses Buch empfohlen!!

I love Svava's no-nonsense advice and this book is full of it. Easy recipes, easy workouts, effective plans and lots of snippets to help you live like a Viking - i.e. grow in confidence, take responsibility for your life and increase your self-belief. Also absolutely lovely photography and really nice layout to read. Very happy with this book!
