Fluke 233AKIT Remote Display Multimeter

Just what I needed for hard to reach locations. The screen separates, and works remotely fro the base of the unit - excellent!!

It took a long time to receive.... but it was worth the wait! This fluke is fantastic. I own an auto repair shop specializing in electric diagnostics and being able to remove the screen and have it next to you when you are under the dash in a car looking for a problem is gold!The range isn’t that good....and when the screen is detached it shuts off after a certain amount of time ...maybe 5 minutes ... but who cares..it still beats having to use 2 techs to look for a problem.For the rest it’s a fluke so it’s a solid device that we will be using for years!It came with nice leads and accessories and the price was worth the wait

I've used a cheap meter for countless years without problems. But I started having a need to make sure my readings are extremely accurate/trustable. So I opted to buy a fluke. Very happy with this meter so far. The additional attachments for clipping onto stuff is pretty nice as well. What sold me on this meter, was the ability to remove the head and have it be wireless. There's some projects where this is a handy feature, to feel much more safe being a good distance away incase something fails haha. Also handy for car work. Easily probe amplifiers in the back of the car, while sitting up front reading the numbers.

I use multi meters daily and all of them being Flukes. This meter works flawlessly and with the ability to work remotely from the meter turns out to be a real plus. I guess I'm one of those people that has to have the latest and greatest when it comes to the tools I use and thought this would be a good addition to my arsenal. I use the removable remote display alot more than I ever thought I would.Thanks Fluke for another great product!

As an automotive tech I perform battery draw tests which would require me have someone stand by the battery as I pulled fuses and tried to find the source of the problem, now I simply disconnect the head and take it with me so I can monitor it myself. I did have the terrible battery life that many complained of, I put in a call into fluke and they advised me to send it in for a firmware update which I did, since I got it back that problem is totally fixed, I have gone at least 6 months with moderate use and not needed a single battery change. I am kinda surprised that in this day and age that the firmware cannot be field updated and the crazy expensive internal fuses are a bummer but all in all this is a solid meter.

Meter is great for use in the field, troubleshooting and testing CNC equipment, etc.!
