Very readable score
The music is laid out well in this piano vocal score and is easy to follow. It will be easy to use in performance.

Totally unsatisfactory
Simply awful - product was described as "New" but had been printed upside down and BACK TO FRONT and was therefore TOTALLY UNUSABLE as a score. Even a cursory glance at the publishers (or distributors) would have revealed this fundamental problem ... NOT a happy customer :(

Serenissima Success!
The Serenissima Music Inc. vocal score is excellent. Its full vocalisation of all the choral and solo parts, with a complete piano accompaniment making it must for all lovers of the Mahler symphonies. It is a very large work, and the choral parts have had to be reduced in size on the page because in performance the work needs up to two complete choirs (up to 16 parts), as well as a 'boys' choir and 8 soloists, so it does take a bit of getting used to. However it is astonishingly good value, and to be highly recommended.because it is not too heavy to hold in performance and is clearly printed. The solo parts are printed in a larger and heavier type than the choral parts, and I wonder what the difference in size of score there would have been if these parts were to have been reversed in the score, with the choruses in large type, and the soloists lighter? The individual passage numbers (there are 220) work well in rehearsal, but there appears to be a lack of correlation between this vocal score and the other available choral score that is without the solo vocal parts; this can lead to difficulty when rehearsing. Also I found it difficult to keep the Serenissima score open on a music stand when rehearsing because the binding of the score is very tight, and not easy to flex and keep open. However I have been delighted with the overall product for such a major work! Well done, Serenissima.

Red instead of a Green
As the picture shows, only one small detail of the book, has come in red.

It falls apart!
Bought for an accompanist to use, this score started to fall apart when first opened. Not ideal when trying to play Mahler 8 on the piano! It now is held together with tape. I already own a green covered version of this score which is fine, the one I purchased has a red cover. Perhaps they have different binding systems???

A good buy
Great to have this full Vocal Score with all the piano reduction instead of the short version that lacks adequate entry info. Good value price.
