Fantastic knife
I used it to cut a potato and it was like cutting butter. Highly recommend this. I have another, larger ceramic knife of the same brand I have used for years.

Read the instructions carefully and do NOT deviate from recommended uses. They are perfect for SLICING
I have my knife for over a year and it works perfectly after daily use, many times twice a day. No chips or cracks and still slices paper thin with ease.Word of advice to all users: ceramic knives are sharp and hard. But they are also very brittle due to the nature of ceramic materials. Read the instructions carefully and do NOT deviate from recommended uses. They are perfect for SLICING. They are not really made for de-boning and heavy chopping because of the brittle nature of ceramic material. If you use the knife properly it should last for a very long time without cracking or chipping. I have my Kyocera 3.5" paring knife now for well over a year, and I use it daily to cut vegetables for salads. My wife uses her 5" Kyocera to cut thin slices off of a roast, and it works beautifully.

Sharp and attractive
Nice looking knife that works well. The only downside is that it has no tensile strength. Don't use it for anything but its intended use or the tip will snap off.

Best paring knife I've used.
I have used the Kyocera Paring Knife for years. I can cut through an apple with no problem, using very little pressure. I must say, the blade is like a razor so you have to be really careful when cutting. I purchased them for my daughters and included a box of bandaids, just in case!

Brilliant knife
These are excellent, recommend highly, I’ve had one for 12 years (and I’ve been very naughty and sometimes put it in the dishwasher) and it’s just starting to go a bit dull. This was on an offer, so even better value. Worth every penny.

Perfect
Exactly what I was looking for as everyday sharp kitchen knife for paring.

WARNING Ceramic Chips
I have been using this brand of knives for years and loving them so when I needed additional knives ordering was a no-brainer. What a mistake. I ordered a set of two and the first time I used them one the ceramic chipped and I had to throw out the food I was preparing. Since I'd had such good luck in the past I returned this set and ordered two more. Today I reached for a knife and notice that yet again there were chips in the ceramic. Imagine the horror of knowing the knife most likely shed chips into the food I prepared yesterday. This is a health and safety risk. I don't know if Kyocera has changed its manufacturing processes but rest assured I will NEVER purchase this product again.
