Reliving the Grunge Era
I've been wearing Chuck Taylor All Stars for the last 25 years, and they're still the ultimate in fashion over function. Even with their weird sizing chart, and the fact that every pair of Chucks has one thing wrong with it (these ones have a weird flapping sound when I walk) they're still the same classic cool looking shoe with no arch support that they've always been. Let's talk.
Alright, first off to those who don't know converse, they come narrow, I put as expected because I knew they were narrow, it's the way they make them. There is no arch support, My suggestion is ALWAYS by some sole inserts for these if you really wear them all day. It's common knowledge amongst the converse people that they run big. I am a size 10 in all other shoes, in converse, I'm a 9.5. They look great no matter what condition they're in. I like them, they're legit converse.

Consider inserts
These are standard converse canvas shoes. My husband put inserts in for some arch support, and wore them all day. He likes the warmth of the high tops. FYI - we washed the shoes with a load of jeans and air dried, which got rid of the rubber (sole) smell.

Chucks caused me to sleep on the Sofa.
They fit quite well, they are definitely a throwback. However, I wore them to dinner with my wife last Friday and we ended up getting into a big fight,/disagreement. Not sure it really had anything to do with the Chucks, but I would suggest that when you wear them, you tread lightly.

They look good but run large
Good looking shoes, but I usually wear a 10 and my 9.5s are too big by at least 1-1.5 cm.

Lifting Shoes
I got this for my son for lifting. We bought a size smaller than his usual shoe size, the fit was great and they were exactly what he wanted.
