I just got these files, so this isn't a longevity or durability review. It's a use review. I needed to file to file down plastic, and they worked as described. There are many files that give you lots of versatility for your projects, so that is why I'm giving it five stars. Initial versatility. This is not a longevity or a durability review, but I wouldn't expect super long-term durability with regular use from a set of files at this price point. You get a pair of gloves, and a cleaning brush, and some sandpaper, all of which can come in handy. These are the highest quality, at least they don't appear to be but, for casual use, they should do okay for a while. So if you need files for occasional use, this is not a bad set at all. It's five stars for its class.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: This is a great set of tools for someone like myself who isn't looking for an extensive set of files. They have proven to be very helpful around the house and with some crafting projects. is getting started with my wood carving hobby. The tools come in a very nice and rugged carrying case along with safety gloves and sandpaper pads. There is a broad range of the files fro very thin for detail work up to files that are the size of screwdrivers. The larger ones are more aggressive. The tools are sharp and feel solid in the hand. I've found this set to be a very good value.

Wow. Sturdy well made units. I believe I won't need any other files with this set. For use on my homestead I think all bases will be covered. Loppers, shovels, lawn mower blades etc. Great variety in sizes and shapes!

i've alrady gotten a ton of use out of this: 1. filing a HECASA double din dash panel to fit 2. filing away casting imperfections on aluminum valve cover & engine block 3. filing and sanding various steel flanges no issues with this set at all, it has worked fine
