Chock full of recipes and info
This book is a must-have if you are going to Sardinia. It has history and places and fantastic reading even before you get to the recipes. This is the way I remember Sardinia--the food, the lovely people. I was in Gonnasfadigo and my hosts took me to the Costa Verde. We skin dived for food and also went to the market. The grandmother and sister in law cooked up the most fantastic dishes. But I bought this book for the soup recipes. And I was not disappointed. It is worth the money with a generous number of pages.

Delicious, informative and interesting!
Had Sardinian chicken at a restaurant and immediately went on the hunt for recipes from this wonderful paradise! Searched everywhere online then stumbled across this book. I'm a pretty skilled at-home cook so I don't usually buy cookbooks but it was the only place I could find the kind of recipe I was looking for and I gotta say... this book is FANTASTIC! AND the recipe in here was so close to what I ate at that fancy restaurant that I suspect they might have gotten it from this book!Have tried a few different things now and everything has been delicious and I look forward to making more.Bonus for the historical and cultural information... very interesting!!

A fun recipe book with solid recipes !
A great recipe book with a perfect smattering of history and scenery. So far all the recipes we have made have worked out great. We are planning to try to make every one! A recipe book that you can work your wAy through recipe by recipe and get a great feel for a culture!

Superb book, original yet traditional recipes, very well explained
I am originally from Sardinia, Italy and I love cooking. I have a travel company that deals with trip for foodies and wine lovers (travelmotus) so I can honestly say that I am knowledgeable about it. I met Viktorija while she was doing an extensive research on the field of Sardinia and gathering recipes. The book is superb!! I ordered the book to a good friend of mine in New York and I am planning to buy more copies to send to my customers.

Looking forward to trying out these recipes. New foods are rewarding in just the cooking something different, aspect. That is how I learned to cook so many different ways. Chinese Japanese Italian Mexican, etc... So go ahead and spread you wings, you learn by doing. So do it.

I was at my favorite spice shop and they didn't carry it so I ...
A very well written book. My problem was and is that I don't cook octopi or use myrtle as a spice. In fact I never heard of it before. I was at my favorite spice shop and they didn't carry it so I have no idea of the flavor.A lot of strange (to me) products that is not available to me nor am I interested in preparing.

very good for many dishes from a Special Pl., Sardinia
I thought there were some dishes that should have been included that we’re not in the book like the thin paper like bread lasagna dishes Sardinia is famous for.. there are many other earthy Authentic dishes I did not see. I do understand space is limited and the ones I did see are very good

Sardinian Cookbook
There are a ton of good recipes in here and some back story about the culture as well I can say I really enjoyed reading this book and I'm looking forward to making some of these recipes.
