Quality belt at a budget price!
If you are looking for a quality belt at a budget price, this is for you. My first impression upon receiving the belt was of both surprise and relief. I was half expecting a low quality belt for the price. However, I was pleasantly pleased by the craftsmanship. The belt is made of 4in wide nylon with quality seams and free of tears or frays. The velcro strip made putting on and removing the belt extremely quick and easy. The extra long length of the velcro also proved quite capable of keeping it secured under heavy lifting. What I also liked about the belt was that there was no padding; if you know anything about weight belts, you want the belt to be firm and not stretch. Despite this, it was quite comfortable to wear with nothing poking or sticking me. Aside from the affordable price and quality workmanship, you can tell that the company certainly knows a thing or two about weight belt functionality. First of all, the belt is 4in wide all around. Do a quick search on how weight belts work and you'll see why you do not need a 6-10 wide backing. When you flex your abs, you create anterior pressure for your back to keep it from flexing or arching. If you know anything about pressure, the more surface area you have, the less concentrated the pressure. Hence, a 4in belt will apply twice the pressure to your spine as an 8in backed belt. Because of these reasons, I was extremely satisfied with the belt and would consider buying other fitness products from this company.Note: These are my own opinions. I purchased this belt with my own money.

More comfortable than leather belts, sturdy, great value
Great belt, perfect for my needs. The 4 inch size is perfect to fit between my ribs and hips without encroaching on either. Sizing is on point, and it's easy to adjust. It is nylon, so this is obviously not as stiff as the leather or suede ones that may be a better choice for powerlifters. For me, this provides enough resistance to brace my abdomen just enough to stabilize my torso during squats, which is the only time I use a belt. Just wearing it is also a good reminder to brace my core and breathe properly. I find the leather belts uncomfortable and definitely prefer wearing this one. Cheaper than the leather ones too!

Good belt, Great price, excellent value
This is a good entry level belt for larger individuals. I’m 6’1” 300 pounds...I just got back into lifting and couldn’t find a belt that fit me.... I order this belt not expecting much, but I was surprised on how will it’s made..great value for its price...

I wear a size 36 pants (I like loose and comfortable
Exactly what I wanted. I wear a size 36 pants (I like loose and comfortable, otherwise I could definitely wear a 34) I typically wear my lifting belts pretty tight. The large may be just a little big for me, but it works perfectly fine. I could've used the medium or large. I'm likely the type that's in between sizes. I would totally recommend this belt to a friend.PSA: Velcro belts are great for lifting moderate to heavy weight and allow you to move more, but leather belts are clearly the most durable and stiff. Leather belts, are what you should buy if you're only going to use a belt to lift heavy weight or to max out. Just know that there is a difference and you should know what kind of lifting you're going to do before your purchase.

Great, versatile belt!
This is a belt that always stays in my gym bag. This is a nylon belt. Not a leather belt, not a belt similar to a schiek or off brand belt you'd find at a sporting goods store... It is very flexible which is a good pairing to my power belt when I want some support but still be able to move around easily in it. I really like using this belt for double belting in a really heavy yoke or rack pull, tire flipping, atlas stones, heavy rows or any movement where I want to be able to bend easily but still have support. The velcro is very secure and I'm not worried about it coming apart. Its a great value and definitely won't regret having this in your gym bag!

Bad velcro
Product was good but velcro stopped holding after 7 months. Went back to a leather & buckle style.

So so
I’ll give it 3. If u thinking about heavy lifting get a leather one. It’s comfy , but not serious back support.

Just What I Was Looking For
I had a weightlifting belt just like this one made by a company called TKO. I used the belt regularly for @ 10 years and loved it, but the Velcro became worn out and the belt recently began to loosen during squats. When I found that TKO no longer made that belt I was very disappointed...until I saw this belt from Contraband. I already had Contraband knee wraps and knew that the company made quality products. I wasn't wrong. This is a great quality, supportive and very comfortable belt. The Velcro is very heavy duty and does not loosen. The sizing chart is accurate but you have to measure your waist around the belly button area. If you are not sure, I recommend that you get the next size up from what you think you need. I highly recommend this weightlifting belt and will be buying more products from Contraband.
