Melts through granite like it is butter...
This hole saw worked perfectly for cutting a 1" faucet hole in my granite countertop to install a side spray. It practically melted through the granite as compared to what I saw a plumber do in drilling a 1" hole in another of my countertops--same thickness. I used plumbers putty and water--the wet method [as per YouTube video]. I had some water splatter requiring cleanup. My local granite company gave me an estimate of $150 to drill the hole. I only had to pay the cost of this saw and plumbers putty. I had a few chips where the saw made its first contact with the granite. The side spray assembly concealed it. Now for another hole...This will work for you as well...

Great product line for professional results every time!
I'm a general contractor that specializes in tile work, and I do a lot of bathrooms and kitchens, and I have to drill or cut a lot of holes. I have a handful of these in difference sizes and each one has worked for me time and time again and given me consident results. I use a wet sponge and routinely wet the drill hole. I use a porter cable single speed grinder.

Not good for granite.
I ordered six of these for a project involving 20 holes in granite thinking I was being overly cautious. Used all six on the first hole. These will likely be fine for concrete and other softer masonry, but they are not up to task of drilling in granite.
