Works well!
Item is not very large and more on the compact side, but that’s exactly what I wanted because I needed a smaller shovel to get ash out of my firepit. . This is made from heavy duty steel and is solid. The shovel head is shaped well so that it holds the ashes like a spoon while it has a straight edge for scooping. . Easy to hold and use. While this is solid, it’s not too heavy at all. Solid craftsmanship.

Good value
It's an ash shovel, and it does its job well. You have to take it by the handle and scoop it down into the ashes for it to work. Then you can use it to lift the ashes out of the area and move them to a different location, presumably an ash bucket. Do not buy if you feel you would have difficulty in performing any of these tasks. :-) Seriously though, it's well-made and a good value for the money.

Sturdy shovel w/ a longer handle.
A sturdy shovel and the handle is a little longer than others I looked at. With interest in shoveling hot coals, the greater distance away from the hand is nice. The "Heat Resistant Finish" is probably an apt description; stick it in hot coals and the finish goes up in flames, but can shake it out, haha. Overall, a good sized shovel and happy with the performance.

Exactly what I wanted
It’s exactly what it describes, and appears to be well made. I purchased it to clean the nest boxes in my henhouse.

Great shape, easy to use
My home is old and is heated w/ a wood burning stove, so this is extremely useful in my house. It is all metal, so very durable. The heat doesn’t transmit into the handle so you won’t burn yourself. It had a smaller head then my other fireplace shovels so I can get in corners better. Great buy, very affordable and durable. You’ll never need to buy another one.

Shoveling it out!
Works well for me. Build with good quality. A little bit thick for scooping, but gets the job done. The length of the handle is reasonable.

Great shovel for those woodstove Clinkers!
I supplement the heat in my home with a little wood stove. . Wisconsin Winters can be pretty cold. The original shovel that I used came with a fireplace set. It was quite small and not very sturdy. I have been meaning to upgrade for a while and finally took the time to shop for one. This is a great shovel! The handle is a nice length, and it is very sturdy. The scoop holds a good amount of ash and clinkers. It comes with a little leather loop that you can hang it up. I don't know why I waited so long to invest in a decent shovel but I've been very pleased with this one.

We have a full fireplace set, somehow the shovel went missing. This one fits the bill perfectly.
