Great product! My family and I noticed benefits in two weeks of taking it. It is really an impressive vitamin. The greatest part is its half life. Meaning you don't just pee it out. It is 60 % used in body 20% is out through waste. That means you are actually using what you paid for. My sister-in- law is a Nurse Practitioner at the psychiatry office I too work at. She has been advising patients for years to start taking NAC daily. It has many different health benefits. One of the many is improved mental health. I started talking it due to Covid19. She informed me that it helps with lung health. She also told me that is safe to take with other prescription medications. My husband and I have noticed our lungs are clearer than before. We didn't even have lung issues. He feels it has improved his running because of the lung improvement. It is a small price to pay for all the health benefits. It smells a bit. I don't find the flavor an issue. It is easy to swallow. We take after dinner due to the possibility of stomach upset. If taken on an empty stomach. No stomach upset experienced. The bottle is a bit misleading. It is marked 1200 mg on the front. That is the beneficial dosage. When I received it the back indicates you must take 2 capsules to achieve the 1200 mg daily. I was under the impression it would be 1 1200 mg daily by the front of the bottle. Not a deal breaker by any means. Just letting you know what to expect.

This is the best NAC out there on the market. Yes it has bad smell but that sulfer smell is actually a good thing when it comes to NAC and speaks to the quality of this product. NAC is supposed to stink and if it doesn’t than you don’t have good stuff. I am certain this stuff saved me when I had pneumonia and I have friends who credit this for what kept them out of the hospital when they had Covid. I am not a doctor, I’m just a person who has had chronic lung issues for years and can speak to my own personal experience with NAC and this product in particular. I’ve tried other brands of NAC and they aren’t nearly as good as this one. Make sure you research NAC before you start taking it though as it can interfere with other medications and supplements you may take. Make sure you take it on an empty stomach to get the full benefit. It also disrupts your body’s collagen production so if you plan to take this regularly you may want to look into taking a collagen supplement.

This is the absolute best supplement for yeast infections, chronic ear or dental infections. Im a physician, and it is quite effective in chronic infections. Can help you avoid having to take an antibiotic! For less severe infections, and can boost the effect of an antibiotic when you have a resistant strain. It is an effective treatment against biofilmsWhen you first open it though, it smells bad. Just leave it sitting open for the first 12-24 hours. That's the NAC that has that smell, don't let it worry you. Just let it "air out" it doesn't transfer to any taste or anything, or leave any smell when you take it ( in fact the opposite, helps halitosis!!) its just when you first open the bottle you get that smell. Let's you know Iyou have a good quality, high concentration NAC. Airing it out seems to take care of it.

Many, many years ago, I used to this molecule (N-acetylcysteine) as an orange flavored powder that you stirred into water. My friend would ship it to me from Brazil. Last year, when my husband and I had COVID pneumonia, our chiropractor suggested that we buy it as capsules. It was easy to take and had no flavor. Now, however, since it's in an open bottle, our medicine cabinet smells like cysteine (sulfur, rotten eggs, the same smell you get when you get your hair permed.) Bathroom smells are already bad. Now we've added more sulfur. Not even sure if it did any good.

But everyone else to whom recommend this bitches about the smell and flavor (which seems odd for a pill, but whatever), but I never really noticed. It works and that's what matters. I cannot vouch for the health benefits for legal reasons, but I can say that I achieve my desired results.

The peppermint scent is what makes this thing actually stink. My first bottle of NAC I ordered was through NOW foods there was no scent that I can remember at all. So masking it with peppermint makes no sense. I didn’t even realize I was ordering peppermint scented ones. I wouldn’t have done so but I should’ve read more carefully what I was ordering. And it’s I think the combo of the peppermint and whatever else is going on with this one that makes it smell so bad but the peppermint is actually the problem. It’s awful. I’m sure the NAC part is great quality, but who thought of putting peppermint in there? And I can’t even return it. Amazon won’t let me.

This product was recommended by my husbands Dr. to help with mental health and cognitive. I researched it and really seems like a great product and good reviews. However, I did not realize that it is not recommended to take if your on blood thinners. My husband is on Plavix. He can't take the 1200 ml. that I ordered. The company does not take returns. I'd like a 600 ml if they would accept an even exchange. His Dr. thinks the lower ml will be fine for him. I did not tamper or open the 120 ml bottle.
