The perfect low-power travel projector
The first thing you need to know is that this projector is rated at 500 lumen. It's NOT super bright. You're not going to be watching a 100' projection in a well-lit room. You're just not. But a smaller projection, say 30 or so inch, is fine in a well-lit room. And in a dark room, you can enjoy a huge picture. If you need a powerful, bright projector, keep shopping. If that's excessive for you, read on. Because the second thing you need to know about is the battery base. That little tapered base they show in the picture, there? It's a battery pack that screws into the bottom of the projector. You can use this thing ENTIRELY cord-free (with, say, a USB drive or a Chromecast). And the battery is good for at least a couple hours. It's terrific. The projector comes with a ton of other accessories as well. You get a remote control, an adapter for composite video (the yellow, red, and white RCA connector), the power adapter (which is very long), L-shaped adapters for HDMI and coaxial cables (more on this later), the lens hood (cone shaped thing you see pictured), and a base for projecting on the ceiling. It's SUPER versatile. It even has an (albeit tinny) speaker in there. My favorite features (aside from the battery) 1. Ceiling projection. An included hollow base, plus the L-shaped adapters enable you to set the projector on its back and point it at the ceiling. Sick day in bed? Laziest movie-watching ever. 2. Auto-keystone. You know how when you angle a projector up or down, and the picture on the wall gets all distorted? This projector has a sensor in it that tells it how steeply it's tilted and adjusts the picture to be rectangular. Automatically. SO COOL. 3. LED bulb. You know projectors. They're loud, hot, and obnoxious, but super useful, so we just put up with it. Worse yet, when the insanely hot bulb burns out, they're ridiculously expensive to replace. Well, the LED bulb in this projector is rated to last 30,000 hours. That's over 3.4 years of CONSTANT projection. You're likely to use it less often, so you can probably expect this bulb to last 20 years or more. Plus it's not very hot at all. PLUS, since it's not very hot, the fan is really quiet compared to other projectors. If you don't need a brighter projector, just get this. It's so versatile and so easy to use. The included tote is perfect for holding the projector and all the accessories, plus there's a little breathing room where you can put in your Chromecast, a Raspberry Pi, or even an Apple TV with cords. Potential Uses (here's what I use it for) 1. External monitor for Raspberry Pi or my laptop 2. Movies in other rooms (why not watch A Long, Hot Summer again while cleaning the kitchen, or project Super Why in the kids play room? 3. I haven't fallen ill since getting this, but the next time I have the flu, I'm totally watching TV on the ceiling over the bed. 4. Party projections. Playing Breakfast at Tiffany's during the going-away party for a friend moving to NYC, for instance. It was a nice addition to the overall ambiance. 5. Portable video gaming. Since it's a low-latency projector, you can even play video games on it.

Projector Turns Off - Dont Buy
Projector is portable and small.. good thing is that it has separate rechargeable battery unit. but for me this product was waste. Projector turned off on its own intermittently.. sometimes in 5 mins or 15 mins or so..Amazon customer service was good they sent me replacement and I had faced same issue with replaced projector as well...I tried it with HDMI, A/V, power cord, battery and with all possible combinations projector used to turn off...finally i have to return this item and i m now again looking for another nice projector which i can use at my home..

Nice but not bright enough.
It's a nice projector and fairly portable. Good features and easy to use but you can't have any lights on or else it's too hard to read text for working.

Don't get so excited about the wireless
Wireless information: I have not seen an option to connect to WiFi and I have been using this thing every day since I got it. I assume it has WiFi so it can stream to devices (WiDi, Miracast, ect) but that is it's only function. Most laptops do not have the wireless streaming function (WiDi, Miracast, ect) and I wasted a lot of time trying to get it to work wirelessly. I can connect but not stream to it. Any laptop/pc will connect but not stream if it does not meet the flowing requirements: the laptop will need an i5 or i7, intel wifi card, and intel graphics to use WiDi. If you have an nVidia (like me) or AMD graphics you can not use Widi. Intel has a program you can download to tell you if you can use WiDi or not, just Google it... I eventually got an HTC S4 to connect but it was laggy, I believe it was the phone and not the projector. Most tablets will be able to connect wirelessly, but I assume they will be laggy because they use the same internal components as the phone (in most cases). Its only good for showing pictures if you use a phone or tablet. I hear it works great with a laptop that has this capability though. Picture: So I use a 25ft hdmi cable from my laptop to the projector and it looks amazing! I project a 130" display (width, not diagonal) on a wall in my room and I watch movies and tv shows with my fellow Marines. I make the room completely dark to make the projection look it's best, but it is "visible" with daylight bleeding into the room (blinds and curtains not closed). Smaller amounts of light do not effect the projection too much (blinds and/or curtains closed). When it's on battery mode it dims the light so it's not as bright. The built in converter (Example: 1080p input --> 1280x800 output) lessens picture quality. It looks better if you set the resolution from the computer to what it should be at the projector 1280x800. I'm extremely picky about picture quality and it is noticeable on small text (kinda blury), not so much in movies. It looks crisp at 1280x800. About the unit: The unit is very small, it's not much lager than a paper back novel. This is the main reason I bought it because I didn't not want a large bulky unit. It came with a bunch of accessories. It has a piece to project onto the roof, a thin one to project onto a wall, and the battery unit (1.5" taller than the thin piece). You get some connectors for different inputs and all that jazz and it comes with a really nice carrying case. It looks like a purse, it has pockets in it to hold everything, and it seems to be a high quality piece. An impressive bonus if you ask me. Conclusion: If you want a the best portable projector, I believe this is it. Brightness is not an issue in a dark room, don't let my bickering be misleading about that. It loses a star because I don't believe you can connect to the WiFi, thus the ad is misleading... Pros: Small, clear vivid image, comes with a good battery, a bunch of accessories, LED, WiDi/Miracast support, 100,000:1 contrast ratio (competition only had 2,000:1), nice remote (I never use the buttons on the projector), you can play videos from a USB device (works great btw) Cons: Can't connect to Wifi, wish it had apps like some of the other LG projectors have (youtube, netflix, ect.)
