Energy Healing: The Essentials of Self-Care

I have been studying various energy healing methods and techniques (Reiki, Jin Shin Jyutsu, Taoism, Reflexology, etc.) the last few years and I have read every book I could find on the subject. When I saw this 215 page soft cover volume (Energy Healing: The essentials of self-care by Ann Marie Chiasson) on Amazon for a bargain price I decided to purchase it.I find it fascinating the subtle differences as well as the similarity of all the various energy systems I have studied over the years. This book is easy to follow and contains numerous techniques and methods to increase your energy and keep you healthy and well. Even though the black and white photographs are clear I think this text could have used a few more photographs along with the explanations of various healing techniques shown. This book is organized into ten chapters covering the following material:The basics of energy healing, connecting into the unified energy field and the Shamanic field, getting started, the heart center and the art of sacred touch, sensing and moving energy, balance, alignment, and body wisdom, specific energy centers and targeted energy-movement techniques, receptivity, presence and awakening, and energy techniques for specific symptoms and conventional medical diagnoses. There is also a list with page numbers of the energy practices explained in this book.If you are into energy healing systems you should check out this book because it presents a wide range of interesting and unique approaches to increasing your energy and healing power to help yourself and others.Rating: 5 Stars. I have only read certain sections of this book, but have not had time to finish it. However, from what I have read so far I am very interested in all the great information, which seems to cover how the human body functions, and how we can help ourselves become healthier. I have worked with healing of the energy body for decades, but this book is so well written, this is the first time I really understand how healing works. I am thinking I won't need any other reference book in this area of study and service to self and to others. The information fits together so well, it is easy to understand. One can understand why modern Western medicine is really not working for most people. I am very appreciative to Dr. Chiasson for writing this useful book.

I really enjoyed this book. It was interesting to read besides being informative. I have so many pages bookmarked on Kindle that I had better get a hard copy, too. I think any energy worker would benefit from this book. I look forward to reading more from this author. I have actually met this physician and I can say she "knows her stuff!".

I had digital copy, but realized I wanted to have hard copy to be able to reference the techniques easily.

I bought two "energy" books at the same time and this one was awesome. I stopped reading the other one about a third of the way through, whereas this one... I read it cover to cover. The exercises are excellent. Left me with practical tools to use in my daily life. Awesome book, highly recommend it.

I am so grateful to Dr. Chiasson for sharing her wisdom with the public in this educational and informative book. She explains concepts in depth and in a manner that is easy to follow. This is a jewel in the healing energy literature.

Dr. Chiasson has the best explication that I've ever come across of the layers of interconnecting energy fields/webs in which we are embedded. Her suggested practices are amazingly easy to adopt & I've noticed tremendous opening to these energies.

Incredible and very useful book,I have found lots of different ways of dealing with different pains and problems, and it has worked! Great book!
