Nice and big fits over my table with room behind to keep my guests fully shaded

I bought one of these in winter 2019, ready for the summer. when the warm weather arrived I put it together, which just involves fixing the top pole, with the parasol on it, to the bottom pole. All seemed fine but after a couple of uses the mechanism failed. The parasol is raised and lowered by means of a winder located on the upper section of pole and clearly this works by a simple winding mechanism inside the top pole. The winding rope is just a piece of woven white nylon string and it came loose and just dropped out of the top of the pole. The part of the string which was inside the pole was badly frayed.Although we had had the parasol for a few months, although not used it, the supplier offered a replacement which we accepted. I've gone to open the parasol today, and the exact same thing has happened, the string has frayed and snapped rendering the parasol useless.It wasn't very expensive but I'd still expect it to last longer than forty or fifty uses lastsummer and three days this spring. You aren't supposed to leave the damn thing out so between uses it has to be stored in the shed.I'm disappointed to say the least.

Brilliant very pleased with it looks expensive and the larger size is perfect

Meets all my requirements and easy to assemble and erect. Could not be more pleased with it and have ordered a second one.

Great for the money although it is more like 2.5m across the flats!

This garden umbrella lasted almost two months before it failed completely. The cord linking the handle to the raising and lowering system broke. Further investigation showed that the cord inside the pole had frayed and simply pulled apart. A very bad buy!
