Great tire
Only a few rides so far but the improved traction is noticeable over the bontrager tires that came with my bike, particularly when leaning into turns.

Check your part numbers
Overall, this tire is fantastic. I received the 120TPI (DD), 3C compound, tubeless folding 29x2.20 version suitable for my 21mm wide internal width rims when I ordered from this listing. PROs: + fantastic grip in loose gravel, sand over hardpack, rocks, and the road + quiet smooth rolling on the road -- feels efficient + easy to inflate tubeless with a floor pump (this is a good safety feature if you need to make a trailside repair for some reason -- a compact hand pump should be able to do the job + feels very sturdy and durable + seals well to rim and no weeping of sealant through sidewalls CONs: - feels quite heavy compared to other similar size tires I've used - required wrestling with tire levers to get on my Stans Crest rim -- dish soap was required to get it to seat the beads initially without over-inflating the tire on the rim - difficult to distinguish which of the many versions you are ordering on Amazon HOT TIP: Take a look at the Maxxis website and browse the many versions of this tire: Wire vs Folding Bead, 60TPI vs 120TPI, rubber compound types, suitable for wide rims (WT) or more narrow rims, etc. Once you've identified the group of characteristics that you want based on reading all of the optional features on the Maxxis website, find the part number for the tire with those characteristics on the Maxxis website and make sure that the part number on Amazon is the same one. I then searched Amazon with that part number. This process took a while, but I'm glad I went through it and got the tire type that I was seeking.

Best trail and singletrack tire ever. Legendary for a reason. Buy them.
I run these tubeless @ ~20-25 psi and they roll smooth and fast and grip like a gorilla. I'm riding mostly in a high desert area, but I really think these would shine just about anywhere aside from pavement (what a waste) and possibly gravel -- although it seems to do okay there, too. I'm going over rock, sand and packed dirt most of the time and some occasional streams and forest. Loose sand areas -- especially over packed dirt -- can be a very demanding obstacle for a tire to handle, but they do the job splendidly. Very, very pleased. When I wear these down, I'm getting more.

One of the better tires for my riding
I am always critical of the price tag for MTB tires. It's just absolutely ridiculous what they charge for these considering how long they last and durability in comparison to my truck tires. I just wanted to make clear where my perspective is. Of all the tire brands I have tried now, and there are many.. I have had the longest life from this Maxxis Minion DHF. I run these tubeless at about 27-30 psi on the rear, with Orange Seal tire sealant. I have a full suspension bike with 6" of travel. I ride at least once per week almost exclusively on single track in the Colorado Rockies. Terrain varies from damp forest floor to dusty, rocky high desert. I don't ride in winter or on snow. This purchase was a replacement of the same tire. I rode this tire from April 2019 through July 2020. This is a good life in my opinion compared to the other tires I've ridden, far exceeding the life of tires such as Specialized Butcher Grid, Purgatory Grid, Ground Control, Kenda Nevegal, and a few others. With those tires, I was lucky to get 3 months of riding before the loss of traction was intolerable and dangerous. With the Nevegal, I struggled to get more than 2 months of riding life out of them. With the Maxxis Minion DHF, traction in both braking and climbing were great. I really wasn't noticing any fade in either until the last few weeks. Then they just "fell off" fast. But that didn't bother me as I put a lot of hard miles on this tire. It's impressive that they held so well for so long, then the drop off was severe and fast. I would recommend this tire to anyone who is riding hard and often. I still think $70 is ridiculous for a bike tire, but I think at least these won't end up costing me more than my truck tires in the long run as the Kenda's and Specialized tires were.

Great tire! The tread pattern is super aggressive
Great tire! The tread pattern is super aggressive!! As my front tire, I pick a line going uphill and it literally 'PULLS' me on that line. Duh, sounds obvious, but MTBers will understand me. When you get tired and twist your handlebars while going uphill to keep balance, most tires are forgiving and you can balance out. These DHFs claw into the terrain and grab that line! It sure makes me balance better and keep my bars level while going up. But where this tire earns its keep is on the downhill. Super grippy and keeps you on your line. You will feel more confidence descending, twisting through switchbacks and going over the rocky technical stuff. I've put 200 miles on this tire and the tread is still amazing. I'll have to replace my rear DHR soon, but this DHF should last me a few more months!

Pneu en 2.50 que j'ai dû retourner car trop gros donc le problème ne vient pas du pneu, on voit immédiatement la qualité, ils sont très épais et très gros après gonflage. J'ai été remboursé sans problème.

So my trusty Trek Fuel EX Full Suspension needed new tyres after the original Hutchinson where used up. Bought these for the front and Maxxis Minion DHR II for the rears, utterly brilliant tyres, so much grip and control.
