This are a brand killer. I switched from Bridgestone to continental to Yokohama Geolandar in that order no regrets. Comfort, durability, awesome tires. So far these Yokohama are unbeatable. Once you use it will not go to different tire anymore.

Avid Ascends are a great all around tire - durable, quiet, safe, affordable, with very high quality consistency. Some models of Yokohama do not last very long - typically their sticky, sports car oriented ones. But if you choose the Avid Ascends for "normal" driving, you won't be disappointed. I bought these for my 2018 Subaru Outback. The Subaru dealer wanted $780.00 mounted and balanced. Tire Rack wanted $620.00 with free shipping.I paid less then $500.00 after buying and paying to have them mounted and balanced.I've been driving with them on winter roads, as well as dry roads, for over 2 months now and I can say that for the price, these work great on my Subaru. They are not noisy and have good traction on snow and ice for all season tires.

Purchased to replace the stock tires on my 2018 truck that were to me not good enough in snow and rain . I only had 20,000 miles on them and they were sliding in wet conditions. These tires are not aggressive as the photo indicates but I can say they have performed great in the rain, no snow action yet. I have noticed a tiny bit more road noise but nothing huge and I also have gotten 1 less mpg on these. So far so good, great price.

I like to Road Force Balance my tires. This type of balance is the same as the factory does and is a big part of the reason new cars drive so nice. The trouble is about 30% of the tires you try to have road force balanced fail and can't be mounted successfully. That can be a pain when you have tires go back and forth from you to Amazon or TireRack.However, both these tires mounted up with only 12 and 17 pounds of road force. They make my truck drive like brand new. They also have an aggressive tread but are not noisy.
