Coleman 8-Person Instant Tent Rainfly Accessory,Brown/Black

Got this to go with our Coleman Instant Tent (8x14 model with T-door and room divider). I don't know if we really needed it to keep out the rain, as the tent is supposedly water-proof on its own. But we got it so that we could crack the windows for extra ventilation when camping in hot, humid, Florida.FIELD TEST: And boy did it rain on our first outing! We field tested this rain-fly in daily afternoon and evening torrential downpours during a 5 day camping trip in Bahia Honda in the Florida Keys. With daily humidity of 99% and "feels like" temps as high as 115 degrees F (no joke or hyperbole), being able to leave the windows cracked without worrying about rain getting inside was crucial to our comfort and ease of mind. Any tent zipped up tight in south Florida takes about 5 seconds to become an oven. And with such high humidity levels, a closed tent can quickly develop its own "Water Cycle" resulting in condensation inside your tent. With this rain-fly, we felt confident leaving the windows cracked even when we were away. We could set out kayaking or exploring without worrying about needing to get back in a hurry if an afternoon squall suddenly blew through. On the day we ventured down to Key West, a severe storm dropped 2 inches of rain on our unattended campsite in less than an hour. We were relieved to return and find everything inside our tent was bone dry, even though we left the windows zipped down about 2-3 inches all the way around.OTHER NOTES: I suggest putting the tarp on your tent BEFORE you extend the legs all the way during tent assembly, as this tent is VERY tall; putting the rainfly on at the half-way point is waaaaay easier than trying to do it AFTER your tent is fully up and assembled. The front and back ends of this rain-fly are labeled, which is helpful--I'm wondering why other companies haven't though of this idea to simplify rainfly installation.

Love the roominess, all the screen windows and design. The put up and take down was fairly easy and it even fit back in its bag well. Camped 8 full days and nights in two different locations. One near the coast and the other in-land on an island on a huge lake - canoed with it and all other gear very well. Withstood high winds and rainfall with out any problems while up. Very glad I took a chance on it...I am very pleased and so was my husband. Found that the 6 or 8 man size is even perfect for two people (cots and gear & middle aisle space) with out taking up a lot of space packing wise or setting up. Need just a fairly flat rectangle area and you're good to go!

Let me first say here and now that this product is just fine. My beef is not with the product, it's with Amazon. I know, this is supposed to be about the product, right? Correct. But let me explain. After looking at enough tents to make one dizzy, I selected a large Coleman tent. While adding the tent to the cart, Amazon recommended this rainfly for the to-be-purchased tent. I thought it was a good idea, although I was slightly annoyed that it wasn't included. So I added it to the cart as well and made the purchase on June 5th. Well my wife and I took our two very young kids on our first family campout last week on July 20. We setup the tent and debated about putting on the rainfly. We decided to hold off. Well later that night we observed an intense amount of lightning just beyond the mountains. We decided to go ahead and put on the rainfly so that we would be prepared should the storm come our way. After a few minutes of frustration while trying to figure out how in the world this seemingly too small fly was going to fit, my wife sat down in the light of the lantern and eventually found the small print description of the rainfly. Yep, it was meant for a Coleman tent two feet shorter than ours. Awesome. Luckily the storm never came our way, however, it did not prevent me from staying awake all night watching for the flash of lightning and being prepped to grab the kids and beeline for the sanctuary of the car. So let's summarize here. Yes, the rainfly is fine for the tent it was meant to be applied to. No, this is not the proper place to vent about Amazon, but it's the only place I have. Yes, I should have confirmed that the recommended rainfly would be compatible with the tent. However, I don't feel I was out of line in trusting Amazon to recommend to me the correct items. Also, I like to prep well in advance, hence why I ordered the tent six weeks in advance. A four week return window is ludicrous.

I purchased this rainfly to go with the associated tent (Coleman product number 2000007832) and it worked great. Since the tent has 'external' poles, it's a good idea to put this on to keep them clean even if it is not raining. The rainfly snaps onto the poles of the tent, so there is no need to tie it down unless it is going to be windy. It took a minute or so to put on the tent, so I'll use it every time I use the tent. One caution, the rainfly does not fully extend to cover the door zipper, so if you are going in and out while it is raining, water may get in the tent.

We bought this tent because of the ease of set up. It claimed to be able to set up in one minute. I'm happy to say it really does set up that quickly and easily! This tent is HUGE and can easily fit a family of 5. It has two "rooms" separated by a middle zipper section. There are huge windows and opens to allow great air flow, but the most incredible thing about this tent is how easy it is to set up! All the poles are attached, so you don't have a ton of parts. You just pull the poles up and easily lock them in place, and there you have it. It's all set! The take down was just as easy and quick! We are so pleased with a product that actually does what it claims! I will say that this is NOT the tent for you if you want something small and light. It does have a bag it fits into, but it's the size of a large duffle bag and is not light. However, if you want to throw it in the car and take the family for an easy camping trip, it's perfect! I will also say that we were afraid we would never get the tent back in the bag after we folded it up, but we did it on our first try! You will definitely need two people for set up and take down...and especially for getting it back in the bag! We love it and are very pleased with our purchase!

A very versatile piece of kit.

初めてのテントです。年に１、２回キャンプすることがあるのですが、テントを組み立てたりするのが面倒なので、試しに買ってみました。一緒にレインシートも購入。１回目のから大雨を体験しました。　レインシートがなかったら大変でした。しかし、上しかレインシートがかからないので、下は少し湿っぽい感じだったと思います。２日ぐらいなら大丈夫かと思います。元々、雨のほとんど降らない地域で使われるようなテントなので、仕方ないですね。でも、楽々で組み立てが出来る点では満足しています。８人用なので、広々と使えます。夫婦２人であれば、半分タープスペースとしてもちょうどいいです。

No sirve, se pasa completamente el agua, aparte nonquedo el tamaño para la casa de instant tent 14’ x 10’ queda muy pequeña.

テントと一緒に購入しましたがレインフライシートがテントより一回り小さく使い物にならなかったです。こう言った場合どうすれば良いでしょうか。
