Good buy

It is nice, strong, and helps cool the engine.
Installed into a Stampede. This gearbox worked out well for me. Swapped all of the stock internals from the stock gearbox to this gearbox without an issue. Bearings fit fine for me. Heard about some people having to use tape around the outer ring of bearings to tighten up the fit. Could be worn bearings in my opinion. It is pretty much a huge heat sink for the motor. No need for a fan even under 3s LiPo loads. The aluminum will sound a little noisier from the gears whining. The plastic stock gearbox kind of dampens the sound. This would be a good time to grease the gears when you take the stock box apart. Either way, noise isn't an issue for me. It's no louder than a brushless motor screaming at high RPM's. If you are using a STRC Rear Shock Tower then mounting the tower to the gearbox will be a tight fit but it goes together fine.

Fits well in slash 2wd. Not too heavy. Only problem is that it ended up looking more purple than blue. Overall good

This item works perfectly! Everything lines up exact and it's a perfect fit, sturdy and lightweight as well.

Just plain bad engineering and or QA
Loose tolerances compared to the original plastic part (picture 1). Gears can wobble significantly enough to slip. Picture 2. Screw hole not sufficiently spaced to allow nut advancement to fit against opposing surface. Could be resolved one of two ways: thread the hole so no nut is needed, or remove material from outside of gearbox so that the nut fits. This could also be a QA issue and not an engineering fault, but the threadless design seems to argue against the engineers. Would not recommend to my friends.

Perfect fit for my Rustler
Perfect fit for my Rustler. Looks great and adds support to the drivetrain. I’m glad I purchased this and look forward to more upgrades for my Rustler!

Disappointed, it's a nice transmission box however it does not align with the intent chassis I got for this vehicle. Not pleased at all

Do not buy
Would not recommend buying if you have a slash 2wd the case is to big and everything on the inside moves freely when it shouldn’t yes it looks cool and all but after putting on my truck have had nothing but problems and have had to replace all the gears and diff many times and haven’t had it very long so don’t waist your money like I did
