Works, but may take trial and error.
This DOES work, but it is not easy. I think if you have pretty light, straight, shorter to medium lashes like mine, use the white sticky perm rods. I read that most users liked the pink ones, so I went in ready for those, but I could not get them to stick for the life of me. I agree with another user that the directions are written in Google Translate Fail. The bottles are not labeled exactly as they are in the instructions. Use tell lash glue bottle first, pink second, blue third, yellow fourth. Use short clear eyelash cleanser between. My first eye took some trial and error. I tried the pink pad, letting the glue get tacky as recommended by many users. I have large, rounder, protruding eyes, and I found both rods difficult to stay and fit on my lids. First run, I think I just overdid it on the glue. I redid the first eye and just lay down for 10 minutes to let the perm solution set. I held the lashes to the rod with a toothpick almost the entire wait. It took a lot of patience, but right eye came out great. Now the left eye...oh this was a chore. My left eyelashes lie differently, and it had always been harder to make them hold a curl with a regular eyelash curler. So I ruined the rod just from messing around trying to get the lashes to stick. New rod, new perm solution, lie still for 10 minutes, go and look in the mirror, and they'd all stubbornly came unstuck from the rod. Second try, I dried the lashes off completely, heated an eyelash curler and curled them first, hoping that would at least encourage them to stay reasonably put while I worked on gluing. Got them all fanned out straight up, then went to take my hand away and the rod came unstuck and perm solution went everywhere. Agghhhh! So frustrating. Dried them off, and just couldn't get another rod to stick. I literally just held the lashes up over a used white rod and held it like that with my finger for the whole 10 minutes. The instructions are not clear on whether you keep the rod on after cleansing the perm solution off. You do. I learned from YouTube videos. So with my finger curled over the nonsticky rod, I sat for 15 more minutes for the other 2 solutions. It was not fun, and it got pretty messy, but it worked.I did not love the way the white rods were packaged. They're self-adhesive, so when I went to unwrap them, it was rough going as the plastic packaging tore up a few of them as I tried to peel it off. Be prepared for some waste in the trial and error procedure. My end result looks good. I wear mascara most days, but I don't want to put any on until after 24 hours as I am paranoid any wetness will ruin the perm. Because this was a lot of messy work.I was able to do this myself, but if you have a willing friend, do get help. I have terrible vision and it was hard to do with one contact out at a time.

be careful
For me, this product worked, but it's not easy. I would recommend using the sticky rods rather than the silicon pads because the glue provided is garbage. The rods themselves are already adhesive. Trim them if necessary, stick to your eyelids at the lash line as best as you can, and use a toothpick to stick individual lashes straight up onto the rod. If your eyelashes are thick, the bottom layer will stick out: add some glue and keep 'rolling' them onto the rod with the toothpick lengthwise until the glue sets and they stay put (don't expect it to be perfect). If you can get your lashes stuck on the rod and aligned properly, and the rod doesn't come off your eyelashes, this kit should work just fine when you follow the instructions and apply the chemicals with a q-tip. On a side note, don't put the chemicals all the way to the base of your eyes or use too much because when you blink they will get in your eye and it will burn. Also don't get them on your eyelids, and if you do just swab with a wet q-tip. If it burns, your skin is probably too sensitive for this kit and you should stop using it / flush with water asap.

but I finally got an amazing result. I did this once and the curl ...
Definitely some troubleshooting to do with this, but I finally got an amazing result. I did this once and the curl was just not significant. It looked like just a few lashes were slightly lifted. I think I didn't use enough glue the first time, and the lashes came off the rod during the process. So a week later, I decided to do it again to get more drastic results. This time, I glued the lashes onto the roller with enough glue. But this time the result was really weird looking. I think the curlers are too narrow for my lashes, so they came out way too curly, sort of kinked, and shorter-looking. I was really upset and freaked out because I thought I ruined them!! Then I read that someone had this happen to her, and used the perming solution and neutralizer again, but this time without any rollers or glue, to sort of weigh the lashes back down and uncurl them a little. So I applied the solutions a third time, and it did relax the curl so my eyelashes no longer looked funky. I was SO relieved. But it relaxed one eye more than the other, so I was left with an asymmetric result. SO, the next day I did a fourth try of this. This time I think I figured out what I should have done all along. I did NOT use the curlers or the glue (which actually burned my lid when I used it...I think a main problem with this kit is the glue, because once glued onto the rollers, the lashes were hard to comb out, which is probably why they ended up kinked). Anyway, this final time, I applied the perming solution without using the curling rod or glue, and I just used my finger, to press and hold up the lashes while the perming solution was on them. I closed my eye and had to stay relatively still for 10 minutes, but it worked great when I was done!!! The curl had a natural slope and both eyes were symmetrical (I did one at a time). This kit is pretty amazing, considering my lashes are generally stick straight and this actually gives them a lasting curl that nothing else can. However, there were a few attempts with this kit that left me so upset and worried that I had ruined my lashes. If this happens to you, don't give up! If the glue is too irritating or sticky to work with, just ditch the roller and the glue and use your finger.
