Works great, a little big
Very nice unit, great price. The only downside is that it is very tall so it takes up valuable space but it holds parts very well and the precise adjustments come in very handy.

Vise is not precise, but worth the money.
This vise is crude, but it works. I used it for milling aluminum. I took small cuts very slowly. After filing and adjusting, the vise is fairly stable. The big problem is trying to mill on a drill press. A drill press is just not made for this. The spindle is not stable and the table flexes. I think that many complaints about the vise are actually due to the drill press. Don't even think about milling steel on a drill press. This vise is worth the money! If you have a small project or two, it will do the job. I'm using it for a large project and it's getting the job done. I adjusted the gibbs fairly tight to remove all play. There are a few tight spots on the one screw. I filed what could be filed and knocked off some sharp edges. It could be better with some more work, but it's good enough for me.

Decent but kinda sloppy movement
It’s sturdy enough and holds items well, what I dislike is the amount of play in the forward/back movement. The threaded rod that drives the action slides I’d approximate an inch or so in either direction while at rest, making any sort of forward/back operation you’re trying to accomplish more difficult than necessary. It definitely lacks precision.

Good vise and well made
I bought this vise to go with a Mortising Tool I bought from Jet. I never liked the fence that came with it so I made a table and used this vise to hold my wood pieces while mortising. Now that it is done, I no longer have to mortis from both sides to insure that my holes are centered on the work piece. Once the x axis is set on the vise, forget it. No more calibration, poor support for the workpiece, wood getting stuck on the chisel, safer, and my hands are free to run the mortiser.I did have to tighten up some of the parts to eliminate some play but nothing that was not easily correctable.Great product, great price, and well made.

Good Buy
Need small adjustments before using. Work just great.

Defective worm gear that slides the vise.
Did not work properly, had to repair right out of the box. Was going to return but they would not cover shipping for the defective item. Very low quality, I would not recommend for any precision work. I was able to make adjustments to the worm gear to get the vise to slide but still sloppy and loose.

Lash
There is more lash in it than what one would expect. Granted it's not a $500 vice. But should be a little tighter than it is. Both directions are sloppy.
