Multi-tool of lights.
This is a jack of all trades light, the multiple colors and brightnesses make it perfect for all task lighting applications, the only thing I will say is the main white light isn't as defined as I was expecting (not on the order of my Fenix lights)but it is still quite good nonetheless. It makes a perfect pack light I have mine clipped to so molle webbing on the shoulder strap of my Maxpedition Falcon II. It's very small and light weight, one word of warning though,.. The coyote brown is more akin to the OD green on my Glock. All in all 5/5

Rugged and feature rich.
This is a cool headlamp with a decidedly military look about it. I believe the US Army uses this lamp. IT has white, red, blue and IR settings. There is a strobe feature as well. I bought the headband to go with it, but the clip on the light provides many mounting options. Very high quality and durable.

Good little light
The Streamlight Sidewinder compact is a good little light. I purchased the version with the IR light installed, but it is available with a green light, if you don't own night vision. Three levels of brightness on each setting, white, blue, red, and IR. the IR is more like a flood light and not a beam which is food for illuminating your surrounds close to your position. I would have preferred a spotlight for longer range illumination. That and the pull and twist thing to change your light choice is whynI gave it 4 stars. I think that there could be a more simple way of changing your selection rather than pulling on the black swivel and turning it to where you want it. Although I do understand why it is designed that way. This may not be a downside because once it is in position it will not change inadvertently. The brightest settings are more than adequate to light your way, whether that be red, blue or white. All are floods with white being the most visible and red being the least. The best feature of this light is its size and weight. At just a bit larger than a large Bic lighter, it is small. It can be clipped to a belt, helmet/hat, or a backpack/tactical vest. The clip is designed to lock on to MOLLE webbing. The weight is slight and will not big you down. I would recommend this light for military/LE, first responders, camping, hiking, or anyone who wants a small, powerful, feature rich light that is easy to use and carry. It would be perfect for a Bugout bag, glove box/otter box, or hurricane preparedness kit. Good little light, you won't be disappointed.

One of the best headlamps I've owned
I was looking for a headlamp to replace a well used and abused Petzel and this one interested me. It's small, light weight and bright. Seems to be pretty bombproof too and didn't cost an arm and a leg (some new headlamps cost almost $200.00). The blue and IR bulbs seem a bit useless right now, but I guess there's a use for them. Only time will tell if it's as good as I think, but I've never been too wrong about gear before and don't think this will be any different.

A good run while it lasted
Great light, purchased June 2020 and it has finally failed after 2.5 years. Possibly a bad joint or connection within the light. I’ll be looking around at other options for task/admin lights, but I wouldn’t be opposed to coming back around to this!

Great multipurpose light
Once again, Streamlight does it right. If you need a multipurpose, hands free light then this is the one to get. The functionality on this model is geared toward the tactical side because when you turn on any of the light functions it defaults to the lowest setting. If you are looking for a more utilitarian model I would suggest the non-ir sportsman model. The great thing about this is that it cam be used as an IFF IR strobe and illuminator as well as a regular flashlight. As per usual with streamlight product, everything is o-ringed and waterproof and built extremely well. The functions of the light are pretty intuitive and the mode changing switch is well designed to ensure that you don't accidentally switch from IR to white light. (a tactical faux pas if there ever was one) My only gripe is that it is designed only as a helmet light or molle ute light. If you are attaching it to molle webbing it will only point straight ahead or left or right, not really useful as a IFF beacon (which really needs to point up). With the helmet swivel it can be swiveled up to be used as this though. The best reason to choose this light is that it uses CR123 batteries to ensure compatibility between whatever battery powered optics and weapon light/illuminators you may have mounted to your battle rattle. The white light is very bright at the highest setting and when taken off of your gear and placed on end to illuminate a map or piece of equipment it works very well.

Excellent for Hunting and Outdoor Use
The light works as advertised and it’s very lightweight. I’ve used it for every outdoor use. I can clip the light on to my shirt or jacket. Since the light always starts in the lowest setting , battery life last quite a while. Just a small note and when the light is on the highest setting it’s emitting a humming noise. All that said I’m very satisfied with the light and have NO complaints. Definitely worth every penny.

Missing parts from package
Missing parts when it arrived, package was opened prior to it getting here. For the price I would expect all the parts and for it to be new.

Due to the photograph of this product, I thought I was getting a Compact II and not a Compact I. Nifty little light, and as tough and sturdy as the right angle originals before it. CR123 batteries are kind of expensive for one, and harder to come by, and the battery life per battery is far less than the larger Sidewinder, which is why I'm dissapointed that It looked like the Sidewinder II which takes CR123 AND the more availaible and cheaper AA batteries too. I'm almost too scared to use it now because of this battery issue and how I feel I was misled from the picture up there.

山で落としたのでリピート購入。明るさの段階が暗い方から始められて眩しくならず良い。小さくて電池1本で稼働するのも良い。前回購入した物はゴムバンド、マウントが付いてきたがこれにはついていなかった。
