Keep This on Hand for an Easy, Tasty Meal
My husband & I LOVE Indian food. We seldom go out to eat it, and I have not ventured to cook Indian recipes from scratch. I tried one of these "Butter Chicken" packets on a whim - also because the list of ingredients seemed natural with no artificial preservatives, unusual chemicals, etc. Just spices. And we now keep several on hand at all times. Makes a WONDERFUL sauce, with a SLIGHT heat. All you need is a can of tomato sauce, some chopped onion (I add extra as we like onions & also to make the meal go further) and chopped chicken (usually left from a roast). Cooks up quickly. I usually use two packets at a time in order to have lots of the yummy sauce. REALLY GOOD!!

Yum! Yum! Yum!
I don't usually purchase seasonings on Amazon but really needed a new dinner idea during quarantine so thought I would give this a shot. My family of 4 loves all types of curries and this seasoning pack is so so so yummy! Please read back of packet; you must add your own protein, tomato sauce/paste, onion (shallots), cream/milk to complete the dish. We usually make this dish with 2 seasoning packs, 1 lb ground turkey, whatever canned or fresh tomatoes on hand, onion/shallots, and canned coconut milk. The coconut milk really rounds out the dish and it's delicious! I have never tried it with light/heavy cream like the direction on the packet because we usually never have it in the fridge. But honestly, I wouldn't try the cream because we love it with coconut milk. The dish can be a bit spicy so you can add additional liquid/broth to thin it out. Serve it with rice and an over easy/medium egg! Don't hesitate to give it a try; it will become one of your regular rotation of meals.

It is one of our FAVORITE dishes now and it is so easy to make
I originally stumbled upon this seasoning packet at the grocery store. We didn't have any Indian restaurants around us at the time so I didn't have any experience with Indian food, but wanted to try some new things for dinner every night. This seasoning packet stayed in our pantry for months before I actually made it. I can't believe we went this long without it! It is one of our FAVORITE dishes now and it is so easy to make. It is sooooo good. I usually use two packets in order to make extra sauce for dipping naan bread in (you can buy this in the bakery section of your grocery store - the garlic is the BEST), cook up some rice and you have a delicious meal. I was so bummed that I couldn't remember which grocery store I bought this packet from (still can't find it) and went another few months before I realized Amazon would save the day and sell these packets in bulk! I highly recommend this item if you are new to Indian food. You won't regret it. 🙂

Tasty - Flavorful - Easy to Make
Tasty, very flavorful, and just the right amount of spice. Such a nice change from the everyday chicken-rice-and-vegetables I usually make. All my local grocery stores stopped carrying the Indian Essentials Butter Chicken without explanation - when the retail stores don't respond to customer requests the best option is Amazon. Preparation does not require the additional purchase of unusual spices that you may never use again. The recipe calls for one 15 oz can of tomato sauce (we use Hunts for 99 cents), a pound of boneless skinless chicken breast, chopped onion and a 1/2 cup of heavy cream. Prep is simple and fairly quick. Highly recommend.

Can't Get Enough of These Little Spice Packets!
I am extremely glad that I was turned onto these seasoning mixes by Simply Asia! I have an entire cupboard dedicated to spices, but there's nothing like being able to tear open a simple packet on a busy weekday evening and know that dinner is going to be great...every time! Though a little more expensive by weight than buying and portioning all the spices yourself, these packets pay for themselves just in the amount of time they save. Plus, the ratio of spices is perfect from the start and the sealed packets stay fresh for a really long time! Each packet has the perfect amount of spice to make a large side dish for a family of 4 or a main entree for 2-3 people. I will often make a bigger batch and use 2 packets per meal so I have leftovers. My wife and I agree that most of the dishes made with these seasonings actually taste better the next day! They work equally well with both meat and vegetarian dishes! If you're a vegetarian (like my wife), try adding chickpeas and/or imitation chicken (we especially like the Gardein strips cut into smaller pieces). Also, be sure to try almond and/or cashew milk in place of the milk and heavy cream! We were both surprised how well these more vegan/vegetarian alternatives worked! I have tried 3 different varieties of these seasoning packets so far: Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Curry and Butter Chicken. While there is some overlapping flavors between them, each is also unique. It's hard to pick a single favorite, so I strongly recommend giving each of them a try! For as many meals as you can make with just a small box of these, it's definitely a worthwhile investment, even if you're used to seasoning everything on your own like me!

Nice option for an easy meal
While this doesn't taste like Butter Chicken from restaurants, it still has a nice flavor. I like that it allows me to make a dairy-free version using coconut milk instead of cream. I added a touch of stevia for a bit of extra sweetness and threw in cashews with the chicken.

This is the best stuff for a quick, spicy, butter curry!
I love this stuff! There are loads of options out there for "quick" butter curry starters, but this one is absolutely the best in terms of balancing heat with flavor. Also, it's super duper easy. No cutting up onions or anything like that. When you just need to get a curry and don't have the time to cook forever, this is what you need. It works exceptionally well with cauliflower as well (or anything else that works to substitute as chicken). Spoon some over jasmine rice, topped with shredded cheddar and boom...comfort curry in a hurry.

Abosolutely delicious and easy to make!
This is one of my family's favorite meals. You can whip it up in less than an hour. I have tried bottled versions of butter chicken sauce that are not nearly as good as these packages. Just follow the simple cooking instructions and you have a wonderful, flavorful dish. If you don't like curry though, it may not be for you but for those who do, it will probably become a family staple.
