perfect solutions for any crawlspace
I had some humidity problems in my crawl space. I replaced the vapor barrier but it didn’t quite solve the issue so the next step was sealing the crawl space and installing a dehumidifier. I recently purchased the BASEAIRE AirWerx100X. Within a few days, my crawl space humidity was reduced from in the high 60s to 50%. My crawl space is approx. 2400 sq feet so it is a large area and needs a powerful unit. The AirWerx100X was a very easy set up. I took approx. 2 hours to install the unit. Easy install-you just need an AC receptacle, some cement pavers to use as a base and you need to provide and exit for the pump. It has worked flawlessly. The condensate pump is a real benefit. No need to empty water reservoirs. It also has a changeable air filter to protect the evaporator and condenser coils. The controls are simple to use. I elected to use an indoor controller and placed it near my thermostat so I could monitor and change the humidity level without having access the crawlspace. I checked out a few other mfgs before purchasing the BASEAIRE AirWerx100X but in the end really liked the fact it was a well-built commercial quality unit.

Not only is the machine amazing but more importantly, the people behind it are extraordinary
This unit is extremely beneficial, especially for basements. If the unit is set at the proper relative humidity level, it does its job and functions way better than most dehumidifiers I have used in similar environments. In addition to the product itself, the customer service is extra extraordinary. If there are any questions about the product or installation or technical support, they are right there to help you.Highly recommend !!!They went above and beyond to satisfy my needs and meet my requirements.Thank you-Jeff

Works in crawl space
Second update: started leaking at 8 months, tested pump and it was working fine. Took apart and found the pickup filter for pump and the float sensor was clogged with???? (See photo). Cleaned it and put back together. Taking apart you only need a long handle screwdriver, pretty easy. I will say this unit is probably best suited for the gravity drain vs the pump as I am guessing it will clog again. See pictures for disassembly. Two screws hold the pump pick up screen, you will most likely only get of those screws back in. If not for the pump screen issue I would give it 5 stars.Update: 5 months later and still working great including the auto pump function. If using the pump drain, pump hose dimensions are 1/4” internal diameter and 3/8” external diameter and can be bought at Lowes or HD in the plumbing section to extend tubing so you can pump to a DOWN HILL drain. I believe the directions state it can only pump so many feet upwards. We did an encapsulation and this unit has been keeping the humidity at 51-53% in the crawl with setting it at 55%. Make sure you level it, plug into a GFCI or a breaker strip and place it in the center of your crawl pointing towards a wall for maximum circulation (do some quick research on dehumidifier placement). For reference our crawl is 2300 square feet encapsulated with an average wall height of 2 feet high.

WON'T WORK - COMPANY DOESN'T RESPOND TO CALLS & SUPPORT
After multiple calls to the company, you only get a recording. Zero response, no one there for support or help. The dehumidifier screen shows Error code 4. And the manual says reboot but the water pump is still not responding. After only 6 moths, this dehumidifier is useless - mildew is accumulating in the crawl at this point. And parts on their website are showing as "out of stock." Must be a common problem because if resetting the water pump doesn't resolve the issue, you need a new unit. (per the manual). We're now stuck with a dehumidifier that doesn't work, and it's only SIX MONTHS OLD. The links on the order site don't connect to anything. At this point we're not even sure if this company is in business any longer.

Does the job well. Filter material could be an issue for some. Pump light stuck on?
I am using the dehumidifier to take the humidity out of a finished basement. The noise is much quieter than units I have purchased in the past and you barely hear the compressor kick in over the noise of the fan.It appears to be taking a lot of moisture out of the air.For some reason, the pump light seems to be on all of the time, whether it is on the drain or pump setting. I find that the instructions are confusing on what the light indicates. I am using it on drain and it doesn't appear to affect performance. My one complaint is that it did affect the air quality in the room. I narrowed it down to the synthetic dust filter at the air input. Most people would probably not find it an issue, but I am unusually susceptible to air quality.I replaced the synthetic filter membrane with a sheet of carbon filter medium and all is well.I'm happy with my purchase.

Great dehumidifier!
Needed this for my basement and it does a great job! It’s very quiet and it was very easy to set up. I’m also glad there was handles so it makes it very portable as well.

Perfect, better than I hoped
I’m drying a crawlspace after fixing the reason it was partly flooded. This product may or may not quite meet the 70 pints/day optimal (relative humidity dependent) output, but it does a great job of pumping that output up and out of the crawlspace to where it is easy to drain. Can’t vouch for its pumping 19 vertical feet, but it does 6 effortlessly.Installation note: there is a single rubber plug that goes into either the gravity or pump drain hole, the one you aren’t planning to use. It is essential. My plug was wandering loose in the bottom of the shipping box. Be sure to look for it. Otherwise, setup was easy despite terse, odd, instructions.

Quiet and effective 24x7 great dehumidifier
This is the best dehumidifier I’ve purchased. I had 69% relative humidity (RH) in my basement and now this quiet dehumidifier runs 24x7 and it stays at 51% RH. This is as quiet as a small fan, no loud compressor or any loud noises or cycles at all. Had drip poor hose or you can set up the pump to drain.
