Ateco spreader
I had these, but the larger ones before the fire. Did not look at the size like a dummy and this is very small. It will be good for something. I will order the larger sizes. I start thinking about holidays now -- have to because so much is gone in that horrid fire. Every time I turn around I do not have something that I need. Spreaders are great and not just for sandwiches, but dips and cakes and frosting of all kinds (as well as a good offset spatula which I actually have now). Ateco is the brand for such things as well as frosting tips and bags and couplers.

The worst thing about this Spatula was...
I bought this Spatula for cutting cheese curds. The length and sturdiness, not to mention the rounded end, makes it a wonderful cheese curd cutting tool. But! When delivered, it comes with a major sticker on the end that is almost impossible to remove! I know you are all laughing at this, but I don't like to use the chemical sticker remover items on anything that I use for cooking. I used hot water, vegetable oil, vinegar and other assorted items before I finally got the last of the glue off the end of this Spatula! I know - I know! I am most likely being silly but there it is! But!!! Once free of the dreaded sticker and major glue, this Spatula is fantastic for cheese making and other things around the kitchen. The size is perfect! It is well made with a comfortable wooden handle. Easy to clean, (once the glue is gone). I would recommend hand washing because of the wooden handle (Dishwasher will ruin wooden handles).

Made Like Top-Line Cutlery
Had one of these that was about 60-70 years old and like new. As these things sometimes go, it turned up missing (I blame extraterrestrials). Naturally, I had to replace it. The Ateco fills the bill. What is so great about this item, aside from being exactly the right size for what I use it to do, is the construction. It has a full-tang with rivets through a quality wooden handle. Unlike ones with a plastic handle, the blade will never come loose. Because dishwasher detergents deplete the natural oils in wood, handwashing is the proper way to clean it. The only con is the label is pretty hard to remove from the blade. Ateco should bottle it for DIYers who need a glue that sticks to metal.

Nice spreaders, handles bleed, sales stickers super sticky
We use these types of spreaders/butter knives daily for about anything that would need to be spread onto either bread, a roll, or a cracker -- peanut butter, butter, tuna salad, jellies and jams, etc. They work well for their intended purpose. I have no complaints about them doing what they are meant to do. The price is reasonable for an inexpensive solution for day-to-day use in the cutlery drawer. The drawback is the wood handle. While looking and overall feeling nice, it is a bit rough and splintery (no real big deal). The big deals are these: 1) The sales sticker is attached to the blade with an overdone glob of super sticky glue that took way too much time to try and remove. No results with Goo Gone, alcohol, or soapy water. I finally got it off by using the glue left on the label and patting it onto the glue on the blade. Ugh! 2) After washing, the handle bleeds on anything that it touches. Check the paper towel in the photo and you will notice a stain imprint of the handle after its fifth hand washing with warm dish soap and water. So, we have to be careful where we put the spreader if the handle is damp? Really? Double ugh! Summary: Once the glue glob is removed, this is an excellent and inexpensive knife for all types of spreads. However, the potential stain problem could become a major issue on a stone counter top, table cloth, napkin, or another unexpected material. For example, I had rinsed the spreader after mayo to then spread tuna. Inadvertently, I touched the damp handle to my tee shirt, which left a stain. Ugh! Note: I appreciate your indulgence as I vented with my over use of the word, ugh!

Bought to reach bottom of mayonnaise jar-it works!
The PERFECT tool for making your lunch sammich! I might have been better served by a shorter variant, but it works as I hoped/expected.

Perfect fit
Perfect for a deep peanut butter jar. The peanut butter doesn't get all over the handle like it does on a butter knife. It spreads everything nicely. I would recommend it just to make life a bit simpler and less messy.

Excellent item, nice handle, good flexible blade. This is a similar item to a knife i recently lost and am delighted to find a almost identical product.
