Just bought my first house and replaced every door knob/lever with these and other Schlage levers and locks. IMO, Schlage is known for its durability, warranty and quality. They were all easy to install. The company even has videos that can walk you through the install. I had to reverse one of the levers and that video came in handy as I had never done that. They all fit perfectly as well. I'm very happy with this line, they look very nice, operate smoothly and feel sturdy. I enjoy the uniform look it imparts throughout the house. Schlage products are not the cheapest, but I think you get what you pay for with these as I think these are a "one and done" situation and I will never have to replace them.

This is the box version F40ACC605 for use with both Left Hand and Right Hand hinge doors. Left or right is determined by which side the hinges are on when looking at the door from the outside. This was preset for a left hand door and easily convertible if right hand. From what I can tell the F40VACC605 is the plastic retail packed version. It comes with a finger pin to reverse the handles, includes the latch, plates, circular latch end piece if yours doesn't use the plate and full instructions. Replacement of my broken old Left Hand style took less than 10 minutes and it works perfectly. the end of the outside handle at the pin hole is slightly different than my original left hand specific brass lever lockset, but most people would not see the difference and it matches perfectly in all other ways.
