Makita Quality!
It's very light and compact feeling, it's also a beast with a 5 or 6 amp battery. It's Makita, not mush more to say.

Excellent cordless circular saw
I bought this to replace an aging corded Bosch circular saw. I've already bought a range of Makita garden tools and will now gradually expand these into DIY tools using the same batteries. The Makita circular saw is excellent in use. Nice and compact. The size of blade will handle most jobs, though not the deeper ones. The brushless motor should be a worthwhile feature in power/battery life and overall life of the tool. My only disappointment is that there is no bag to collect dust, though a vacuum nozzle can be attached.

Packs a decent amount of power
As a 2nd fix carpenter I bought this as a trim saw. Being left handed a blade right is ideal for rip cuts as the line of sight is perfect. If you are right handed I would suggest the makita 680 as its a blade left. I was concerned if it would have enough grunt to trim the bottom of doors but it does. This saw is a little bit pricey and a bit specialist but it does come with the quality you'd expect from makita

Very good
I recently purchased this circular saw because I needed a left handed compact circular saw (I already own an 18v right handed circular saw), I do a lot of site work as a carpenter and this has proved to be invaluable. It works really well, I'm very happy with it.
