Seco-Larm Enforcer Reversible Electric Door Strike, Symmetric (SD-994A-A1SQ)

Operate it with 12VAC (YES "AC") and it buzzes perfectly while opening. Now i truly can "Buzz" in Clients. THe DC Strikes are totally quiet and nobody knows that you activeted it.

Nice strike plate lock, but the label on the lock indicates a time limit, and the instructions say the warranty is void if power is applied for more than 15 seconds. Unfortunately this was not in the description of the product. I have a controller that lets me keep doors unlocked during business hours by applying power for hours, so I can’t use this.

Item is heavy making it seem robust. Installation was as would be expected. Old lock was slightly off center so we had to chisel a little bit higher up than the prior door strike. Lock doesn't have a lot of give which is nice. Time will tell how well it works and how long it lasts. The one this replaced lasted around 20yrs and had been repaired several times, hopefully we get a similar run with this one.

I replaced an existing, same model, that I put in about 15 years ago. Great fit for wooden door frames where you don’t have a lot of room to work with.

Worked for one month only and complete dead now. Factory customer support refuses replacement. Worst product and worst altitude ever. Not waste your money on this crap.

I own an apartment building. I had a replacement of my automatic front door latch installed a couple of years ago by an very expensive locksmith. His version of the latch ultimately failed. I installed this replacement myself in short order and saved a lot of money. The quality of this latch is twice that of the previous one. With this price and quality, it should last a long time. I'll be coming back again if I need to replace it. I'm pleased.
