Great Belt, Until It Fell Apart, But Here's the Easy Fix!
This was a great belt until the buckle came apart. It's easy to use and the ratchet feature allows you to tighten or loosen for that just right fit. I read where some people have trouble with this, but I don't. Really does a great job of holding up your pants or shorts that need a belt. Looks good too! But...and this is a biggie...the buckle is held together with 2 of the tiniest Philips screws I've ever seen. One of these screws worked its way loose and the buckle just came apart. I remember thinking this could be an issue when I opened the box and found a tiny cellophane baggie with 2 tiny little replacement screws inside. Luckily, I kept them and using a tiny screwdriver and magnifying specs and a headlamp I have for fixing watches and my wife's jewelry I was able to repair the buckle. I added some superglue to keep the screws from coming loose again. I think the female threads were stripped out where the screw goes in also. But so tiny I couldn't see to say for sure. Hopefully that will take care of the issue, but what a pain in the ass. Just plain old poor design a two-piece buckle is. Rivets or even better a solid buckle instead of two pieces would be better design. Moral of the story is keep the replacement screws because you will need them. I'm not returning anything, and I be damned if I buy another belt or exchange it. If the screws fail again, I'm drilling out the holes and fixing it with pop rivets lmao. Update 03/07/2023 The super glue fix worked great so I’m bumping my review to 4 stars!! Update 04/02/2024…Glue still holding belt works great lol Update 01/19/25 super glue fixes still working belt is great last update I’m doing for this item lmao Update 03/15/2025 Must have jinxed myself on Jan 9. The superglue fix finally failed, no surprise. So now hopefully here's the easy permanent fix. You will need 1/8" drill bit to drill out the female thread posts, and I used 3/16"pop rivets with 5/8" grab because the buckle thickness with the belt layer is 3/8". Then use the Dremel tool to cut the nubs flush to the buckle plate. You will need to do this, or the belt can't pass through to the ratchet mechanism. I included pictures of the screws so you can see how incredibly tiny they are. You can still see superglue residue on them. I wouldn't be going thru all this if I didn't really like this belt. Fairwin, you keep making them and we'll keep fixing them!!

Excellent quality and very sturdy
I have had this belt since December of 2024. It’s now march of 26 and the ratcheting system works just as good as when I first got it, the belt itself is in perfect condition and the buckle, although scratched from hard use, is attached as rock solid as when I bought it and works flawlessly. Probably the best belt I’ve ever purchased.

Solid Belt
This belt is a mixed bag. I’m seriously overweight, and there are some aspects of this belt that don’t work well for me personally, but overall, I still find it is generally superior to more traditional cloth/leather belts. Good stuff: The webbing seems durable with no discernible stretch. When it is tightened, it stays tight, and it doesn’t roll even under my substantial girth. On first glance, the ratcheting/latching mechanism looks like it is going to be uncomfortable, but I was surprised by how little I felt. The underside of the buckle didn’t cut into me, and it was only after more than seven hours of slouching forward at my desk that I noticed my belly was getting a sore spot from the top of the buckle. It is hard to describe, but my point is that I had been wearing it for weeks and hadn’t noticed anything until that point. It is way more comfortable than it looks. The buckle has a tension release lever that makes it easy to quickly remove the belt, even when you realize you’ve had too many beers and nuts and need a fast visit to the nearest toilet. Lastly, in spite of having no particular mechanism to grab onto, the ratcheting mechanism holds securely (with a caveat below) Not so good: The release mechanism can be triggered by the zipper area on your jeans (mine, anyway). This can be overcome by adjusting the buckle of the belt left or right or “center”. My belly mostly conceals where “center” is, but on someone else it might look a bit odd. Then again, if you lack the big belly to mask the buckle, maybe you won’t have such a hard time with the release either. The only other sort of negative mark is that the loose end of the belt goes behind the secure part of the belt. This is one of those things that is probably more of a problem for me than for someone who has more of a butt or is simply in better shape. For me, it can be hard to get as much tension as I would like, and then having achieved that tension, it can be hard to get the loose end tucked in. Even though it can be a bit uncomfortable and require more than one attempt, the smaller increments of adjustment make it a lot easier to get the belt, “just a little tighter.” I think my ideal version of this belt would be a similar design, but one where the loose end lays atop the tightened belt and it would have some clever way of protecting the release mechanism without making it noticeably more difficult to release the belt. I love that there isn’t a tension adjustment “region” like there is on another belt for which I’ve seen ads. I have hopes of losing at least some of my weight, and I like the idea that I don’t need to worry about either outgrowing or un-growing tot he point that this belt will have to be replaced for those reasons.

If you're looking for a belt, congrats, you found one. At first I'm not sure what to review but then I remembered a really cheap $5 belt I bought a little while ago. It turned out to be made from compressed cardboard... So with that thought in mind. This belt is really well made. The material is sturdy and while I won't test it I wouldn't be surprised if I could use it to tow my car. The buckle is solid and really holds the position. It's really easy to put on and is quite comfy. It's a little big for me though, but I knew that would be when I bought it and will at some stage shorten it, but even then it fits around the waste so comfy and tucks away that I don't even notice. At the end of the day, it's a belt and does a good job of keeping my pants from fraternizing with my ankles.

This is an excellent belt except that the black powder coating on the buckle scratches very easily. I have been very careful with this belt as it's an expensive product but despite this the buckle has scratched which I believe for such a product should not happen. As the buckle is very visible and the product is designed for very practical use this should not happen. Replacing the buckle would be difficult so a replacement of the whole belt would be required to fix the problem. I would like a comment from the manufacturer please. Thank you, Mike.

Feels good, not sure the Velcro will stand the test of time though.
