UPDATE 5/13/2017: I've been running this light about 5 hours per week for over a year now, and it's still perfectly great. I do wish it had a diffuser cover, but otherwise I've had no problems at all. The clamp is still holding my camera fine - strong and sturdy. (I alternate between the Canon 5D MIII and 70D). ORIGINAL REVIEW: I'm using this ring light for a new YouTube beauty channel and really like it. The color temperature is spot on 5400K/daylight and the light worked perfectly out of the box. It runs cool and has worked out well so far. (You can see videos I've shot with it on the channel geekoutofwater404). I'm shooting with a Canon 5D Mark III which is a fairly heavy camera and the Z-bracket that comes with the ring light is sturdy enough to hold the camera. I remove the camera when I'm done shooting, though, as it's just a little wobbly and I don't want to take any chances or stress that bracket more than necessary. I would have no worries at all with a lighter DSLR or point-n-shoot camera. I couldn't seem to find a diffuser to go with this particular ring light, so I bought the Neewer diffuser - https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00UYNFCV0/ - and it doesn't fit perfectly, but does fit well enough to do the job. This light puts off a very nice, shadow-free light that would be great for portraits or headshot-style videos. I do recommend a diffuser, though, as the light is just a little bit hard without it. Product is great. I give it 4 and not 5 because I had to send it back and get another due to not enough description if you're not electrically minded, but they are correcting that error. So not really product fault but labelling.So ensure you buy the right one. I bought 110watts but I really needed 220 watts for Europe as the US is 110watts. Great for lighting up the cameras when recording. I use a canon eos 70d.So mine started smoking because I was using it in the UK. Once I contacted them, they were really polite and helpful and are sending me the correct one.I would totally recommend them as they as efficient & helpful. I will be doing a video and recommending these lights as part of you 3 point lighting.

I purchased this light like many others for my YouTube channel and it was pretty good when it actually worked. When I first tested it out it worked fine, but about a week in I started to notice some issues. Every now and then the light would flicker a lot, causing me to have to re-do shots (as a men's hair YouTuber this often meant re-doing the whole video)Fast forward a bit, when I would switch the light it was a guessing game if it would actually turn on or not. Yesterday I turned it on and it started smoking so I shut it off and unplugged it. I tried turning it on today and it started smoking again and the ring didn't light up except for a small orange glow at the bottom of the ring.Like I said, this light was pretty good when it worked, but I kind of expected a $150 light to last more than 10 months. Hopefully I can either return it or get a new unit.UPDATE; I contacted Tech-Global-Photo and they said they won't replace it or give me a refund, but they'll see if I can order a replacement part. Considering the whole unit was smoking, I doubt a replacement part will fix anything. Save your money and buy a different ring light.

I really love the lighting, it's so beautiful....I have two soft boxes, one on each side and this light in the front. Makeup application is so amazing! The only reason I didn't give it five stars is BC I bought the tripod that it said to buy and the light is wobbly and won't screw on all the way!

Good even light. Feels a bit flimsy to me. It works well as advertised.

Very nice! A little too bright though, wouldn't suggest putting the camera onto the same tripod but still looks great.

This light makes me feel like I'm in a studio when I set it up.. It's perfect.
