Regarding half the other reviews -- I don't know of a wire label that doesn't smudge while the ink is wet. I write with an extra fine point Sharpie, blow on it once or twice, and pull, without dragging the tag across the dispenser. Clean and clear every time. Used on small wire like 22/2, there's enough length to wrap the clear piece around and protect the writing. A little price, but worth it for how much better they work than others I've tried or seen.

These rock. It's nice to be able to put a label on a cable that is well protected, without having to take connectors off and add heat shrink over a label to protect it.

Picture says it all. My intent for the use of this item, was to mark, log the location and map the many cat5,6 and 8e data cables in our 2200 sqft house. All are routed thru the attic. Uni-ball fine point is the best to write with but takes at least 1 hr to dry. Fine ball point will not show on the label, or not even write on it at times. Sharpie dries in around 15 min. The biggest problem is that the tape usually sticks to the ejector end of the dispenser then onto itself and you have lost the lable in the end anyway.

These work very well for labeling any sort of cable and are priced well.

It came with the roll reversed so the clear part of the tape came out first. A very strange error for a simple product! I read another review that said the same thing, so I'm not the only one. You can fix it by taking the roll out and rewinding it in the correct direction. It takes about 10 minutes to fix.
