It is very useful indeed
I bought it and didn’t use it too much at the beginning. Lately I brought it to the pool and keep using it. After all it gave me right form while swimming because my left arm needs more attention and not like the right arm. This helps me a LOT! It’s a great buy!

No more freestyle hand entry cross over!
I'm an above average swimmer doing 100 m in about 100 sec short course, I had a guy tell me in the pool that my arms crossed over the centerline at water entry, but it was not terrible. I've been feeling mild shoulder injury occasionally that would keep me out of the pool for two or three days. So I decided to get this fulcrum. The first time, I used it upside down by mistake, and I felt it was a total waste of money. Very flumsy. But after I started using it correctly for a week to 10 days my arms started entering straight in front of my shoulder totally eliminating the cross over. I had the usual pool life guard tell me that my hands are now entering correctly. Used it for two lengths freestyle of 25 in any session followed by 2 L no fulcrum to burn the correct feel into my muscle memory. Repeat 5 to 10 times. Worked great. After the initial two weeks, I'm now probably using it for 5 min a week to cement the feel and perfect it. Plus this fulcrum is great to promote the high elbow catch.

So helpful
These are so helpful in helping with high elbows and correcting arm entry for free style. We also used them in back and breast to help feel that water. Great tool!

Nail that High Elbow Pull Position the First Time
Having learned to swim as an adult only recently, I was skeptical whether or not these would work, yet they were suggested to me after a multiple-camera swim analysis. I tried wearing them for a lap, and then not wearing them for a couple of laps to see if I could remember the positioning that the Fulcrums force you into (high elbow pull). While I was given several different pieces of advice on how to improve my forward crawl (freestyle) stroke), I did notice that on three repeat tests after the first use of the Fulcrums, I had clipped my lap time by as much as ten to twelve seconds. The shape forced my arm to nail that high elbow position for every stroke. Since I know that this is an unusual amount of time to clip, I didn't mention anything to my swimming buddies who have seen me from the start of my swimming learning curve. However, one of those swim buddies happened to see me when I was doing laps on my own without the fulcrums on, and she mentioned that my stroke has become much smoother. It has corrected an overly deep pull that has aggravated some shoulder pain, and because it helps you become aware of your elbow angle in the water, it's a great tool to use on occasion to build that muscle memory needed for people like me who never grew up swimming, and quite possibly for others who have learned bad habits. The lack of five stars for the review is probably just a matter of personal fit -- I have a skinny forearm (the world's smallest adult paddles, hah!) -- and so the plastic up against my skin when I have to grip the front piece to keep my arms from shifting inside of it is a little strange and uncomfortable, especially between the thumb and index finger.

They perform exactly like they claim!
So grateful I discovered these! I developed tendinitis in my wrist while swimming, these secure my wrists and the pain is gone! Now that I’ve gotten used to them, I can’t swim without them. They’re very durable and very comfortable.

Excellent training tool
These paddles are really helping me position my arms correctly for an "early vertical forearm". I swim a short distance with the paddles, like 50 to 100 yards. Then I take them off and try to duplicate the motion without them. Working on muscle memory. Over and over! I noticed that some people here expected to go faster with the paddles, but that isn't their purpose; they're for training a correct arm position. And I think they do that very well.

An amazing training tool. Not for long distances... They are meant to be used when you start or are getting tired to "re-feel" the water
