American Flyer Luggage Madrid 5 Piece Spinner Set, Red, One Size

Purchased as a surprise gift for my best friend of 30 years... we are taking a trip to Maui this year and she loves red. She reported that she was THRILLED with the color/print and that it arrived in very good condition, all pieces packed inside the next so initially she didn't realize there were so many pieces! She was thrilled to have all the choices and that they are so easy to move around with the 360 rollers. She reports that they look like a very high quality set. Sometimes these sets look and feel cheap, no so in this case, per her report. She says that it is the perfect set for a short weekend trip - using the smaller bags, or a month long trip - use them all. I would say this set is a winner all around.

I first purchased this luggage back in 2016 and I held off on posting a review until I could really test out these pieces. After two years, I can confidently say that this luggage set gives you the BEST value for its price. I have traveled endlessly with these pieces— they've weathered international flights, buses, trains, ferries, cobblestone streets, and NYC concrete without enduring a single tear or broken part. Only one spinning wheel on my carry-on piece is now starting to get a little jammed, but it's nothing a little WD-40 hasn't been able to fix. And not only are these pieces so durable; they're stylish, too! I've received so many compliments on them. While I can't speak to the quality control (I don't know if the 2018 model uses poorer materials,) I really believe this set is worth a try.

The packaging of these suitcases was old and torn in many places as if it had been stored at length. there was also water damage to the outer box.Fortunately, the suitcases were wrapped in plastic so they were not a wet or damaged. I am looking forward to using them on my upcoming trip. They are beautiful.They are not as sturdy as more expensive luggage I have owned, but for the price, I am pleased so far.

This luggage is crap to put it mildly. I don't usully rate things, but as of late in purchasing things on line I find them helpful... Based on that, do not waste your money on this set of luggage. i purchased it solely for the spinner wheels as I was getting ready to go on vacation. I used the carry on and the large piece, neither one worked.... the wheels were so bad it did not even function as normal wheels, much less as a spinner..The look was nice, only it is not trimmed in black, the trim is red (which someone else had said that in a review). Once i looked inside it is cheaply made. It was relatively inexpensive so I was not shocked with the quality, but very disappointed that the one and only time I used it that neither piece functioned properly. This was worse than navigating with luggage with only 2 wheels, as the wheels did no even want to turn.... absolutely worthless!

The luggage is very attractive and easy to spot when you are in baggage claim. They are very roomy and the variety of sizes. They are lightweight but durable.

Needed new luggage after our old set took a dive. Bought for the future, not an immediate trip. Build quality was better than I expected based on other reviews. The wheels roll well on various surfaces around the house. Let the boy (3 year old) rough them up a bit and they took it well. Wheels also seem to be attached well to the bags. It was between these and the Tommy Bahama set and I'm glad I choose this one. I'm sure the other set would have been great but with the extra piece of luggage, this set makes better sense. Great buy.

I bought these on sale at quite a discount, we took them on our vacation to the beach this year and they functioned well. I love that they have the four wheels instead of just the two back wheels,like our old ones. Very easy to use, zippers work well, just great all around.

We bought this luggage set this past summer. When it arrived, it had a strong smell, which other reviews have commented on. We set the luggage out in the sun for about 5 days and then stored them with a dryer sheet inside each one. The luggage itself is nice looking. We have used the smaller bags for a couple car trips and were pleased with it. We used the large suitcase this past week on an airplane trip. Unfortunately, it doesn't stand up very well to the checked baggage experience. The material evidently is quite thin and tore in a couple places. I'm hoping to figure out a way to patch the tears so that we can get more use out of it. We also noted that the wheels on the carry-on suitcase do not roll the easiest on all 4 wheels. We often just tilted it back on two wheels like usual. That was a little disappointing, but not a deal-breaker! Overall, this is good luggage for car trips and carry-on luggage. I wouldn't recommend it be checked in at the airlines.

Easy to walk with and light

Very good value for this set. I took them on long distance travel, and they survived the trip.

The product was disappointing we recently traveled and I used the large suitcase verses my older hays and it was difficult to roll and I had to push it. The 2 Small carry on bags are real nice lots of room. I'll use them again but the large suitcase will be replaced agin with my old Hays

It's a really nice looking set with a lot of pieces. My only concern is that it feels kind of cheap and I don't have very high hopes for the durability of the suitcases. But it would be foolish to expect top quality when you're paying $200 for 5 pieces of luggage! That being said, they are quite light in weight, which will be good for air travel, and there is good variety of carry on options.Who knows, maybe these will surprise us in terms of durability! Either way, it's an excellent deal for the price. If you want high quality, you'll simply have to pay more for a different option.

The quality looks good, have only had it a few weeks bought it for a trip in the spring.
