This has become my favorite eyeliner! The brush point is so precise and makes it incredibly easy to make a perfect winged line. I have tried crayon, liquid, and gel liners - and this liquid brush liner is the best I've ever tried! I've always been terrible at doing top eyeliner and I used to wind up pulling my eye so that the skin was taught and easy to draw on but that can cause wrinkles and honestly the liner still didn't look good. This eyeliner goes on smoothly and thick without having to pull your eye at all! The color is a perfect dark black, and the brush allows it to glide on evenly and easily into a perfect line. It will smudge if you rub it too much, but otherwise it stays on all day long! Compared to the $20 gel liners I have bought, this is a steal in both quality and price! It's definitely worth the buy!

So far this is the best liquid eyeliner I've come across next to Milani's infinite liquid eyeliner. (It truly stays put!) This pen has a much nicer soft, straight, felt tip! It's so easy to make the perfect line and lasts all day. I can't draw a straight, perfect line very well so I've found that turning this pen at an angle and lightly pressing the tip even along the top of lash line gives me a perfect thin line. Then I can go back over it if I want it thicker or darker. Also it dries fast so I don't have to wait more then a few seconds before opening my eye. I do have somewhat hooded eyes and this pen works great for me and lasts all day. I also have oily lids but I use a eyeshadow primer by Shany. I've bought 4 of these pens and 1 seems to lasts me about 4+ months! I've never had any problems with the lid coming off on its own like I do with L'oreal's infallible the super slim liquid eyeliner. It's lid falls off and won't click on like this eyeliner. I do recommend this liquid eyeliner!

For the price, its hard to find a much better liner. If they can just make the tip a little thinner, it would be perfect. This is a great marker type eyeliner. Great even compared to the more expensive ones. I got mine from Amazon for $5. It's a steal. There are a couple of things to note:1. Very pigmented and very black with just one swipe2. When the liner is dried, there is a bit of a sheen and tackiness. I like to go over it with black or dark eye shadow to set and/or blend out the edges3. This formula is not waterproof. I prefer non waterproof and don't have any problems wearing all day. Stays put even when I mist my entire face to set my makeup. Just don't rub it4. Gives precise application. Easier to apply if you pull your lids taught. Pen style liner gives great control5. Tip is bigger than some more high end brands. It's ok because I usually draw my lines medium to thick. However, it's not easy to do a very thin line with this pen and I can't really do a very thin wing at all without going back and fixing things with a moist cotton swab. I usually use a different liner when I want a very thin line6. No eye irritation even when it gets in my eyes

I have worn eyeliner for about 50 years, and each type of eyeliner brings slightly different results. My two preferred eyeliners are a soft Kohl pencil, and the liquid liners.Personally, I prefer this liquid felt tip applicator rather than a brush because sometimes a brush has bristles that bend a little out of shape and mess up my eyeliner lines. This Maybelline soft felt tip delivers precise thinner lines, without any skipping or cracking. Furthermore, it’s easy to apply right along my lashes without having a gaping space that some brushes and eyeliner pencils sometimes allow. When the pencil eyeliner leaves an empty space, I have to rub the pencil lead repeatedly across my eyelid, which tends to loosen my lashes, and then a lash or two falls out.This liquid eyeliner is matte black color and the felt tip delivers precise thin lines, there is no skipping, and no cracking either. If I want a thicker line, I just reapply above the original line and since this has a fine tip, it’s easy to apply and it glides on smoothly right along my lashes and without a space between my lashes and the bottom part of my eyelid.I love that this eyeliner is fast drying, and it does last most of the day. Occasionally, for one reason or another, I will inadvertently rub my eyes, and when I rub them the eyeliner made fade a bit, but it never smears which would result in the ugly ‘raccoon eyes’.Although this eyeliner is not ‘water-proof’, I consider it to be ‘water-resistant’, if I’m accidently splashed, or if I sneeze and my eyes start to water, a gentle dab to dry my eyes will leave the liner intact, and it does NOT smear or run into my eyes. Furthermore, I have never experienced any ‘eye sting’ the way I have received with other liquid liners. In addition, this is one of the easiest eyeliners to wash off and I don’t have to rub hard to remove it.Another advantage is that this eyeliner is ‘free-flowing’. Therefore, I never need to shake the bottle, to get the liquid on the applicator.The only application that I cannot receive is the ‘smudgy’ evening look; however, if I apply my soft Kohl pencil over the eyeliner I will get that desired appearance.

UPDATE a year later:I don't often wear eyeliner but when I do wear this one, it has ALWAYS smudged on me. I considered this an HG before because of the low price, the pigmentation, and the ease of use. But now I've found a CHEAPER eyeliner that offers all of that AND has great staying power. The Essence waterproof liner is my HG now and doesn't smudge even if I don't wear a primer. Compared to that eyeliner, the maybelline master precise is just not up to par.ORIGINAL REVIEW:HG Eyeliner. Easy to use and dark as hell. You probably need a primer underneath if you have oily eyelids because it will probably smudge throughout the day (I know it does for me). But for the price, this eyeliner does everything I want well.
